another hen this morning , couldnt make it up to her nest box , had to lift her up. hopefully after a feed she will come around now 5 from 13

a 4th one , looking a little more hopeful now

took me 10 minutes to spot him , getting slow in my auld age eh

well i have been tripping over my bottom lip most of the day with just 2 from 13 home. Mrs Burgess took the clock for checking and we found out half our fellow club members didnt time a bird. my own misery pails into in-significance . we will be lucky to make the result , yet i hope many will find some returnees in the morning. i will be out checking early, have been out 20 times or more just in case anymore have shown. heres hoping we all have a few in the morning

2nd arrival a wee blue hen just before 8pm ,dropped over the fence and struggled to get up to the sputnik. once she drank was fine

looked out to see a bird on the loft roof just , maybe another,s bird ? there were a few about ? no, a hen from 3 weeks ago , lost some weight and a few feathers but home safely now
