CHAIRDE FRIENDS well we where at the show the best part for me meeting friends from the site and being able to put faces to names the show itself I personally didn't think was very good stalls selling birds (see the photos) and the usual stalls pigeon meds, ETS systems, corn just the same BUT no loft on display this year now some my think well that's not a big lose but for someone like myself I like to have a look as it helps with ideas to me it looked like the actual number of stalls and pigeons for sale was down (JMO) and no fancy section the Dublin show was far bigger and better

hi in the Fancy Pigeon Class are the birds required to have a life ring

CHAIRDE (IRISH) FRIENDS Firstly sorry about the caps but that was to get your attention lol Well most of you know of me I’m jack and I’m nearly 3 yes that’s me in the avatar checking my fantails well it will soon be Christmas and Nadine and I cant wait granda says you homer fanciers start to breed your birds early and order rings early my granda says the rings cost about 20/25p each in the IHU so if you could PLEASE give me £1 with the rings your ordering or even 50p worth and PM my granda he said he will send you a stamped address envelope to cover the cost of the postage that would make a really really nice Christmas / birthday present for me On December 30th I’m 3 (and I cant wait to see what granda and uncle gangster are buying me) so if you would like to send me a birthday message send it to m.oneil3@ntlworld.com or post it on the site my granda has a special folder for me on his computer with photos and emails other fanciers sent to me I like to see their birds and lofts And I would like to see yours also Granda shows them to me when I ask him and when I’m older and can read for myself granda said I can read them all Granda said there was a thread about fake rings for sale on ebay so getting rings from other pigeon fanciers like you and me is the only way we can be sure of getting real racing rings my granda and me DO NOT SALE RINGS NEVER HAVE NEVER WILL THAT’S A PROMISE NO RINGS YOU SEND WILL BE USED TO RING ANY BIRDS MY FANTAILS ARE ALL IHU RUNG WE WILL TRADE RINGS WITH OTHER COLLECTORS ( but they are mostly Dutch and Americans) so what do we do with your rings when I come to grandas house after school I open my mail granda leaves it on the table for me granda counts the rings and I have the say the numbers after granda then we do the same with the colours then we store the rings by country in zipper bags granda is minding them for me in his house until I’m older my nanny says I have the best granda in the whole world AND HE HAS ME SPOILT I KNOW SHES RIGHT BUT MY GRANDA LOVES ME AND MY SISTER SO CAN YOU PLEASE BE MY SANTA ?? i came on this from an american pigeon web site i was just wondering about the dose ?? and i think i read in another thread this or last week someone said NOT to be giving garlic when feeding young ?? Garlic Juice Ready to use in water. Helps purify the blood and stimulate the functions of the whole body. Very important for the breeding and racing season. During breeding, once a week - 1 oz. per gallon of water. During racing, use day before shipping - 2 oz. per gallon of water. Also beneficial after periods of heavy medication - use for 3 to 5 days, 1 oz. per gallon of water.

CHAIRDE FRIENDS on a serious note there has been many many posts on threads re; what YOU put in your birds bathing water I have read garlic , cider vinegar washing liquid even TCP so come on honest replies what, why and how much of whatever you use and more important what your hoping to achieve by using whatever you use simply cleaning the birds feathers ?? killing lice ?? trying to put a shine on feathers ?? remember before you reply people read threads like this TO TRY AND LEARN

last Sunday I visited a loft the fancier has had many many winner and one of the things he said and it stuck with me we were talking about some fancier sending up to 100 birds to a race I thought it unfair but the fancier said it doesn't matter if a good bird is flying against 1 or 100,000 birds a good birds a good bird BUT a lot depends on GOOD LOFT MANAGEMENT AND TRAINING and i think paddymac's 100% right when big money gets involved its a bad thing all that said we keep fantails
