CHAIRDE FRIENDS well after the break-in after the Blackpool show I was on a bit of a downer ch pied (Davy) rang during the week we are for a pigeon show on Saturday that's sound can I bring jack no problem right that's sound and you showing your fantails Davy we don't show our birds are just for fun I know they are but your showing Davy I wouldn't know the first thing to do so Davy give me a few pointers so this morning Davy joined jack as a fully paid up member of The West Belfast Fancy Club and if anyone thinks that pigeon fancying is a dieing sport or old men in caps and whippets you should have there today to see all the kids entering their OWN BIRDS and after talking to some parents and grand-parents one guy told me his grand-daughter has her own loft of fancy birds (the kids about 10) she scrapes feeds waters her loft last night the kid spend 3 hours scrubbing nest bowls and the most of these guys were racing fanciers but had fancy,tippler or rollers just as an interest during the winter IT WAS REALLY GREAT TO SEE so jack showed for the first time there wasn't a big selection to pick for but he put up two birds 1 a red pied the other a blood red with a single white feather in it tail SO HOW DID HE DO

well jack made to local paper and with all newspapers they didn't get everything right but it is in there so hopefully another bit of pressure on the thieves and who knows maybe someone will return the stolen birds (i wont hold my breath)
