  2. Forgot to say, Hopper feeding seems to work well for the cocks but I have a real bad time controlling hens, they will roof on the house as its close to the loft, saying that im only going to race Cocks next season as it just seems easier as they behave theirselves for me. im trying 50% / 50% depurative & best allround through to breeding in the hoppers. Paul.
  3. Hello, Ive been hopper feeding my cocks since the end of the young bird season, seems to be working well, when the birds are in the loft I make sure each bird gets a penut if I am in there, so when they are out flying (not hungrey) they know the peanut will be waiting for them when I call them in, there pretty quick getting in now that they are used to it, they dont seem to eat to much when fed via hopper and feel good in the hand. Dont know if this is the way to go during racing though? Paul.

Magpies and Ravens are a lot more aggresive when Sparrow hawks are about, love the way the ravens fly up to meet the Sparrow hawks in group formation. Paul.

This was my first Blackpool show as been flying 6 years, I thought it was great, the Winter Gardens is a completly different experiance to any other venue ive every seen and was interesting finding all the different shows and arenas, when I got a bit leg tied I went and had a sit down in the Auction theatre - great place to relax and watched all these loaded fanciers splashing the cash, Stayed friday and Saturday night and met some great people and had a few jars, going again next year, cant wait. PAUL.

  25. I had a bad toss last week, got most back by next day, let them all out for a fly day after and they came back in after about 5 minutes, they were flying 1 half hours before the bad toss, so I left them on there perches for 5 days feeding as normal, let them out after this rest and they returned to 1 hours flying, so for me I proved to myself they needed rest after the bad toss, back training now up to 20 miles. Hope this helps you too. Paul.
