  1. I was told by a very reliable source that if you pay to have the bird disposed of it will end up in a line of six and sent to china for the wok!!! this is not a joke. Also told that one of our local fancy went to the catchers property in question (I thinkin Tamworth) and grabbed him round the neck and demand his bird back which mr catcher kindly did so. No body kills my birds there mine I grew them. Paul.

    Need a Loft

Hi all, I am looking for a 8 / 6 ft loft, must be in good condition priced around £100 mark, and it would be ideal if the loft was in the shropshire / Midlands area for collection. Kind Regards Paul.
  3. Thanks for that, Mr Davis is no longer the club member though, its now an Andrew lloyd. Thanks Again. Paul.
  4. The loft the young birds inquestion are in IS very well ventilated, the droppings are hard and they are all in good nick I think, but every now and then they do sneeze and have a scratch sometimes.
  5. Just dropped into my loft, blue number 20 ring on other foot, Blue bar, very good condition.
  6. what is the main cause for pigeons sneezing, like humans sneeze is a pigeon sneezing something to worry about or not?
  7. Someone told me that if you use tap water when giving powdered medicines to pigeons that the clorine in the water nutralizes it and becomes useless, is this true? should I be using fresh water ie rain water or bottled. Kind Regards Paullock.
  8. Hi Guys, Thanks for this, I will try your suggestion out this week, I will report what happens. Paul.
  9. Hi all, New to the forum, My name is paul, from shropshire, Been racing for the last three years with no previous experiance, its been a struggle but I love this sport I wish I got involved years ago, I have a problem with my old bird landing on my house roof, local fancy have told me to wave flags or throw tennis balls at em, I put a tennis ball through my conservatory roof going this!!! , no matter how long I stand there they will land as soon as I go in the house on the roof, this really stresses me out. has anyone got a really good idea on how to stop them roofing, my young birds are ok as I have got the hang of training them properly but the old birds seem to have old habits that I cannot break.Ahhhh.
  10. I started with 3 pair of busshearts in a 6ft - 4ft shed, kept them like this for 3 years as pets then thought it would be fun to race em, well as im sure all on the forum are aware once you start in this game it just snowballs and it becomes a fulltime hobby, I used to keep budgies before but they made way for the lofts I was given from local flyers, been racing 3 years now and I love every minute of it and have met some fantastic people from all over the country on the way. although I am new to the sport the one thing that stands out for me is the lack of publicity which I think could improve the image of the sport as all the poeple I work with thing people that fly pigeons wear a flat cap and have a wippet.
