    4 Eggs

Occasionally hens lay in a neighbour's nest. Could this have happened? It won't be a problem though. Just rear the first 2 which hatch and disregard the remaining eggs.
  4. I hope you do . It's becoming more random everywhere
  5. Just write Mealy on the race sheet and no one will argue with you.
  6. I would have thought that contacting the union might take some time to get assistance for the bird. What she really needs is a guideline on how to feed the bird then contact details for a fancier in her area. I appreciate we don't have a clue where she lives.

Had Obama not been pursuing his own agenda then we wouldn't be in the mess we are in now. Had we acted immediately on Syria then the war would have been over very quickly. Do you not see that the muslimisation of the west is a very real situation. This brings with it all the atrocities and values which are dear to these people. Child brides, sex slaves the list is endless. Yes Enoch was right! That was my last post on this matter!

Great minds and all that Derek! I have never been a big fan but trends need to be reversed.

Previously I never liked the guy but now I realise that he offers exactly the leadership which the western world need to reverse the damage done by people like Frau Merkel and dog Obama who backed down to Putin at every opportunity. If you haven't done your homework it's best to avoid commenting.
  10. There could be many reasons but it seems they were infertile. That can often happen with a new pairs . Weak yellow I don't know anything about but some multi it's might help with yolk colour!

    Please Complete

    Done.
  12. My racers are not mated yet. I bred 12 early young from stock to get 3 for the NCC single loft race. I sent 3, 6 are flying out and 3 are missing in action. Even though I haven't seen a peregrine near the loft recently the remaining 6 are very unsettled so I assume predation has been the cause of the loss. Really it's not worth breeding so early.
  13. If salmonella is your problem then any vet should be able to help with an alternative medication. I believe Baytril kills Salmonella as a last resort and I think you have reached the last resort stage. If the cause is not Salmonella then you probably need professional help.
  14. Lot 19 190 please Done Thanks
  15. Lot 19 £170 please. Done Thanks
  16. Very palatial Mick. I wish I had the skills and enthusiasm to follow your example.
  17. Brian May from Rotherham might be able to help you out he had the Chocolates previously raced by Derek Smith of I UNC fame
  18. Actually Robert I struggled but as I said I sincerely hope mine don't sit on trees. I would imagine sitting on trees required different muscles sitting on a stable surface does.
  19. As I said Derek I never agreed or disagreed with the opinion. Obviously there is an optimum number but that will vary according to the design of the transporter, duration of stay and time of year. Please don't start me about location as that is an entirely different ball game. Nudge nudge wink wink. Personally I would be rather thrown against another human being than a brick wall.
  20. Derek the guy has won several nationals. I didn't say I agreed or disagreed with his views. He didn't advocate overcrowding but finding the optimum number.
  21. I never said that I either agreed or disagreed with the theory. I can't speak for the competence of the driver and I certainly hope none of mine are sitting on trees during a storm
  22. I have also heard this opinion expressed by other leading fanciers. The thought being that they support each other in transit.

    Worth A Read

I wonder if injection with Potassium Arsenite would save pigeons which contract PMV or whether it would be a better idea to release unfortunate birds into a colony of ferals.

    Worth A Read

It mentions in the text that they contract the disease from feeding on poultry, quail or pigeon which are carrying the disease. I only glanced at the text but my impression is that the affected birds were probably captive birds. I will read more deeply later.
