AlBear I think it happens so much up here because we have more allotments with pigeons on than down south. There is no security on allotments and an easy target for these idiots John

Have to agree the pooling system is way outdated and a joke. Last year in the young birds I won the £1 pools and got £2. Time to move on but like anything else in the pigeon game "We fear change" John

I see what you mean Hyacinth, as now if you have a partner you dont have to give a time penalty to a single fancier, as no way could a single fancier clock 4 in 5 seconds. It should be brought in now with no restrictions you either buy it or you dont.... Good job im not GM

Rose everyone is entitled to their own opinion, thats probably why the ets saga is so long drawn out. Hyacinth I agree with Roly, if you on your own there is no way you could time 4 in 5 seconds unless the birds remove the rubber themselves and hand it to you. It is possible with someone else taking the rubbers off as seen with a T3 two birds on same second, but no way without help. was this with help John

Rose I feel this is abit unfair. i personally feel that he does a good job, some will agree with me and some wont. I think him not having anything to do with racing himself is only a good thing because he will not have any agenda of his own. He should not need an excuse to bring it in just do it. we are so far behind the times as usual so lets go with the times. No wonder pigeon racing will be doomed in 10 years as it will not move forward and it leaves us in **** just my opinion John

paratyphoid is becoming more and more common in our feathered friends. More are vaccinating against it now but the treatment is over a 14 day period as all the birds need to be clear of any infection prior to injenction

Folks Its coming no doubt about it just look at the amount of adverts for it in the press now, you cant tell me they dont know something, how many adverts for it this time last year. Lets go with it, if it forces people to pack in they cant be that bothered about racing their birds that much. i would still race using an old toulet if it meant racing against not racing, for me is the frill of seeing my birds arrive home be first or last its a pity there are not more with this attitude. For me that is what pigeon flying is all about the anticipation of your arrivals from whatever direction, ETS would not stop the adrenaline rush, and you have to still get it to trap asap. Whats the point in having ets if the bird will not trap and their is no encouragement from the owner. ETS will just help for those occassions when you cant be there. Im only 33 and have a young family and if you are to encourage younger fanciers into the sport this is ideal as pigeon racing is a time consuming hobby and leads to many rows in the household come racing day. in my opinion this would make my home life much better. John

Hi Rab exactly the same has happened here. The RPRA should bring in a ruling where they tell you what club you have to race in according to geographical position, this is spoiling club racing. John

wasnt last night called something like mischief night or something. never heared of when I was a youngster and that wasnt too long ago. Cant believe they can do something like this. I saw the devastation first hand couple of seasons ago with local fanciers, a terrible thing to recover from.
