  1. cheers for the posts was looking to see a few corridors with them in looks like i might go fer dowels get the pigeons putting there heads through the dowels to eat / drink be good training as they have to do the same to eat / drink in a basket
  2. most have either roof tiles or simply take a board of and mesch it , can get various vents for front of loft its down to choice or can also mesch it at bottom and have a hinged board to keep rain out all depends on your lofts design
  3. as a rule air should enter the loft at ground level and exit it either via the roof via a chimley or back of loft creating change of air removing stale air and gases best way to test any ventilation system is to use a smoke bomb for pigeons , you 'l then see if its working also if you take a few photos of your loft be easier to get a more opinions on where you may improve if need be
  4. Hi could any of you fine people with corridior feeders / drinkers please take some photos as i would like a few ideas cheers Mark
  5. Well Done Derek , top flying , hope he continues where he left off next year be nice to see a photo of this cracking bird
  6. Pigeon lofts come under none perminant structures , however you can only build to a certain size , my council states that all pigeon houses are to be 1 meter away from all boundarys ( i believe this is for fire control ) , the distance from the house i believe has to be 15 foot ( not 100% sure on this distance ) , however i had to submit a detailed plan of the proposed development , which included the whole back garden grided out in size with all structures present and the proposed site for the loft on the garden , all of which i have kept to cover myself for future reference , it was passed as didnt want to build to be told permision wasent granted and would have to be removed if someone complained , even if one is considering converting an existing building such as a garage or shed a change of use application has to be made , i know there be plenty of lofts around with no permision , but better to get things right then you have a better legal footing without getting supprised and upset with a removal order
  7. add the image as a link or img code to your signiture
