Hagen's are basically Deweerdt x Jan Thelan's unfortunately my link no longer works : Brothers Hagens Achthuizen, "So young and already living legends". The history of Eight Houses in the old archives little known. It appears from the old data that it required as a hamlet in the municipality Ooltgensplaat heard. It is probably founded around the year 1526 when the Bommels Polder Polder Gala and Tea were linked. On the "corner" that would result was the present village of eight houses have emerged. Tradition has it that the name Achthuizen would come from a building that was so divided that it consisted of eight woninkjes each with the same shape. The building would be put down by a farmer for the seasonal workers, from England come in here to work, to bivouac. Many of these seasonal workers Brabant remained in this place live. This explains why the village is largely Catholic and still is. Eight houses since 1966 belongs to the municipality Oostflakkee. Before that Achthuizen the special position it had two mayors. The village was intersected by a dike. One side of the dike belonged to Ooltgensplaat and the other in Den Bommel. Achthuizen therefore has never had its own arms. But despite not having their own weapon and also tell much about the past history is required from the village Achthuizen recent years to such an extent that the mapping from the present is indeed the necessary books will go. The now more familiar than brothers Ad and Rinus Hagens have their long strong play with the pigeons in the remotest corners of the world plenty of respect. Whether you're in the Far East, or entirely on the other side of our nature gap is the name of Guus Hiddink or a Johan Cruyff called, or the name of the brothers Hagens from the previously-known Achthuizen, no, all the doors for you opened. After winning as an e Int.nat. Perpignan, an e Int.nat. Tarbes and another one the e Int.nat. Barcelona dvn. the total of three international victories. Who did it better?, Unfortunately, I do not go too fast. But beyond these evocative victories she took also the fastest of National St. Vincent over the entire contest against 31,586 dvn. in 2001. No, it's definitely not a fairy tale or a dream that I few lines above all set on paper. No, it is the true life story of Ad, Rinus and Sonja Hagens . The Hagens . So what is there not all been written about these brothers. Only the three constituent units International victories were their names all over the world and in appropriate languages appear in the newspapers. However, I try a little bit back your memory a bit to freshen up. For the really good readers and Hagens connoisseurs will probably totally unnecessary, but I try to venture on this piece. The brothers have only been in the last edition of the Barcelona show who or what they are and what they are capable. Ad, 53 years and the fourth in a row of family Hagens . Married to the very friendly and very welcoming Sonya and together the parents of the young smiling and Lucinda. Rinus brother, 49 years, single and the youngest of seven children-headed families counting Hagens . After their appearance as in the second half of sixties at the family home in the Schoolstraat were the necessary first year the sprint and middle distance races played. During this time the brothers had access to an August 1 widowers and 20 youngsters. After moving (1972) of the family Hagens to the then newly built lofts with two uncles were put down. Nowadays the lofts are still in this location just outside the center of the village of eight houses. Ad tells us that he little guy in those days at the old Nobel in January could make the pens clean. Through a former neighbor, who at that time itself is necessary but birds had not actually participated in the flights, the brothers known birds infected with the virus. At that time, she joined the local pigeon club (Pv Blue Dove) where she, today still a member. Once after switching to the faster work, where they are more than deserving to have dominated (including Imperial Champion throughout Goeree Overflakkee) to the heavier, they were also in this part of the famous mark. Despite their relatively short then final transition (1988) will be so in the early nineties when the brothers have been the first several prestigious titles in both the ZLU as the FMP managed to secure. Their game was very strong and with an annual follow-conquered them in the foreseeable future a place in the national and international fondtop. And we know it, "to become a champion is not that difficult, but to stay." A successful base. Their base where the brothers started can and should be, and certainly later be seen as very successful. This was the brothers themselves obviously quite quickly given the very good and good results in that time there were already way as pigeons, which mainly consisted of birds from the Theelen the duo John and Lalieu Tjeu van Doorn in Thorn, Limburg. But was there and youngsters bought from the brothers of the Weerdt from the Limburg Meersen. But the brothers bought at that time some of Hubert from Enschede. These pigeons themselves brought the newcomers at that time to the big top. What contribution this certainly should not be forgotten is that of the famous brothers in Someren-Eind van Doorn . These men were together as a very successful breeding. In the basic description, I do you already have the best plant varieties show together. And saw a "Julio" in light of the known breeding together. This giant has like 3 e and 40 e Nat. St Vincent, 40 e Nat. Dax and a 41 e Nat. Bordeaux yearlings to his credit. But a "Melinda" with like a 35 e Nat. Mont de Marsan are impressive. And what do you think of "Lisa" with like a 9 e Nat. Bordeaux and a 48 e Nat. St. Vincent worth it. But the first real purchases were made at the time the men were still players program. Date as the first purchases include Laieu van Doorn in 1984. The year before, so in 1983 they noticed this combination because in that year of a hard foul loeizware St. Vincent they took. At first these were direct purchases for some super sires. The very famous, "Red Breeder" or to be the NL 1984-180230 pale, like a grandfather "Sarina", "Maxima", "The Breeder 42", "Lucinda", "Bauer 014", "Rivaldo" "Ricardo" etc. etc. are the proverbial weight in gold to be worth. Later, after finally switching to once she knocked in 89 with the brothers of the Weerdt. These birds, both pure and crossed between the brothers to be brought there, where they still stand, namely the top. But here they look to the future. Standing still is going backwards, really nice weather Sun pronunciation of champions in our sport. That this saying on the trio from Achthuizen may apply from the following clear. In 2000, Ad and Rinus because the pigeons still known Gebr. Brugmann purchased from Assendelft, where they place so much success with it. Some examples include: NL00-176407 "Angelo" (direct Gebr. Mr. Kanayo Japan: A daughter of "Sarina" (1 e International Barcelona hens 1999) won the 1st Prize National Wakkanai Japan 2005 d. 3572 This at a distance of more than 1000 km. Wakkanai in Japan the toughest race of the year, and is compared with Barcelona in the Netherlands. An interview with Ad, Rinus and Sonja. Knowing that I am now making this report a set of "real" visit went great, I was quite curious how their sometimes some things had to mention. With results, top rating, championships, references and more of these things would be very easy for me to make this truly a loft full of newspaper to describe. I myself have limited (well, limited!) To all that beyond what has been described. In the following I will, through various questions to try some of that veil Achthuizen to cheat. Describe your accommodation again? Well, describe the accommodation they have thought when I asked, "that guy is crazy after what happened." Despite this very painful experience of the past, the men Hagens permission anyway, which sounds weird huh?, to lofts view. Their entire racing will be a good 14 meters. Divided into three sections widowers, two for the nesting birds and a cage of 6 meters for the juniors. The front facing the south and east. At this position, attach the brothers because of the sun very much values. Furthermore, the available voorhun breeders for safety across a few other locations. It's just ... .. kl all so that it should, but hey, he know how it works. Reason whatsoever, Ad, Rinus and Sonja would I ask you this way for the trust which you have given me during this well, but also during the other necessary visits I've been like. How many birds have you? In total, we own a couple or 22 to breeders. A good 80 pieces annually and in its old boy racers (including yearlings), we have access to a 100. These can be divided into 40 widowers and 30 pairs nesting birds. When you pair the birds? The widowers are coupled here around mid-March. Of this coupling bring them all to a young one great 14 days. After these 14 days off the hens and cocks bring further raise their families. The nesting birds are also around this time done and put together like the cocks all a youngster. Noteworthy is that the birds nest nothing else really separate. Rinus does give me a flight that they properly be established. Ad still continued the chickpeas are usually around the end of January get their spouse. What is the right position for you? Well, our experience is that the best position for both the cock and the hen a young at one day or 6 / 7 is. How will you continue with the widowers? The yearlings will be provided from the start until 14 days before the first long distance race every week. For the old birds is simply much less important as this, mainly routines already know in advance what's going is.Wel they indicate that they seek these men as in many others a thousand kilometers in the wings . The yearlings are the first weeks in advance to see their hens. The older will only continue as the yearlings at every invliegvlucht at home for 10 to 15 minutes of their partner. On the larger contracts, these brothers do not support pre-show. No, here they are very quiet and packed shows the most proud of two alpha in the person of the ad that older men do know what is going on. And nesting birds than you? Well, here essentially the same line as the weduwmannen. The yearlings and older as much as possible try famous 1000 km. Even self take away? Prior to the races we bring them a time or two away. And here we try to do between flights rather they move better hear and be sure to focus on the nesting birds. These are like the brothers still regularly indicate whether the club or on Saturday afternoon in Steenbergen. How do you prepare for the juniors. The youngsters are here the last two seasons playing in the navluchten with the container of the department. Yet they prefer going forward them to the first five or six flights in the game with the boy playing. The selection of them is quite simple, anything goes, as verifiable and healthy. This rule use by the yearlings we hear, they need to be, regardless of the fresh flight home. What do you say about your method of care? To quiet (?) Season. During this period, which is actually a pretty quiet and can be seen, but the lofts are cleaned twice daily and they also fed below. The feed is also in this period from a large scheme where a further 30% for barley will be done. Furthermore given once daily presented with clean fresh water in this period. If the winter is really going to log around late November, the birds apart done. They continued in this period is limited outside. They definitely try them out once a week still to this period. To the season. Once paired, and knowing that once again a tough season for the door, the birds once daily mid-May to well beyond. From mid May to the pigeons twice a day out. The widowers go in the morning for three quarters and in the evening for a full hour out. These times also apply to the course in terms of nesting birds. Rinus put it quite nicely, "John, from a few weeks before the first Bordeaux, these birds nest twice a day out. At first, given the time they spend outside of mandatory training. The men Hagens make this best work of fanatics which means that in the beginning often with the flag will be passed through the air. What to see, and you act because of the food? The men here use the rule that a flight to be conducted. After a flight widowers receive such a treatment that will be changed and stepped up to and including Super M. The men carry in large measure to the races and to give them the necessary small seeds. The pigeons that are raised (read more) fed to a flight to get it in the bin. With the understanding that they have to eat their meal provided. What are the products with you? From the discussion after this question is what can I actually quite short. Grit stone and red they get all year round provided fresh every day. The data Vitamineral they get in this period once every fourteen days in the season and changed weekly. Furthermore, there is actually no by-products in the loft here in Achthuizen. And now, you guessed it, the secret ... ... ... ... No, just joking all the known stick. What or how you act in view of the medical picture? Here on the lofts in beautiful and quiet Achthuizen the pigeons at their first brood as against the known yellow for seven days. If the first flight to report the brothers prefer to do as little as possible. Well the men that they gave Perpignan after 2004 have decided to look for doctors to change. By longer or more consecutive years using the same drugs they considered the helm once completely overhauled. Now they do it through both necessary visit (3 x pa) as well as telephone advice and Norbert Peeters and Vincent Schroeder. Also good that they gave 14 days before the first flight of the airways is something given. Who does what? I wrote previously provided the necessary reports and combinations that no more captains on a ship could be. Well, rest assured, this is the kite as a whole is not. Care is owned by both Ad and Rinus. Sonja, is the man, no, of course, the woman in the background. Outside the host, has also the task of the entire records on her shoulders. On the men asking for results or other information required to sip their friendly beer bottle standing on table while the hostess said that the word suddenly takes over. Pedigrees, photographs of the search results is nothing to love her and I will therefore all sides with the necessary information. It is a pity that when I ask if I have a photograph of three of them may make Sonya did not follow suit to work . "They have the pigeons, I do not" suddenly I hear her mutter some brief. Everything comes to an end. Looking back to visit the Hagens , I think, "what time does fly again". Again, though I might drop a bit of repetition, yet I want you, as a large and very deserved champions thanks for the very hospitable reception. Hopefully, the loyal reader can learn something from. We are all know that the name of the brothers Hagens no longer be ignored in both the national and international pigeon racing. That's why I felt myself very honored that now the door was open for me to be the reporter on the known threshold steps. Many know, the year 2004 was for the Hagens significantly less than what we were used to them. The weird and craziest stories were necessary therefore to round. Ad and Rinus but what I like to see you again I've got the hands and let it go to the dike, and knowing what kind of results as good as evidence in the 2005 season anyway heavy put on paper, will your future minded. Or we go fly this year, well, it will be a question for us all. At the time of this writing, I have recently been told that Minister Veerman us pigeon fanciers even a ban announced the release to and around the house. Avenue we all as fans hope that this matter behind us quickly and we can once again be in good health are all in the air, gazing at our favorite straws. Ad, Rinus but of course Sonia, now it was cold and dark at the Diek (Dike read in Dutch!) But once, when the sun is high in the sky and we are back to watching, yes, then he or she will again fall suddenly on the cover. And you know, I'm ready!

well I've actually taken the time to address the new General manager of the R.P.R.A and asked him a few questions Message to Stewart Wardrop : Firstly i would like to congratulate you on your new role as General Manager of the R.P.R.A . As a member of this union i would like to know what the union is currently doing to bring birds of prey ( bop ) to the attention of the government ???? what strategies are in place to over turn the protection of bop that was put in place and not over turned or reviewed since the making of this law , and is it not time that the unions came together to fight bop in parliament and perhaps instead of giving a big hand out to the charities after Blackpool wouldn't this money be better employing someone like Chris Packham to champion our cause before the sport can no longer continue . What happened to the confederation of unions ???? , wouldn't our sport be better run as a big business such as fifa do football and have more shared liberations from channel races , this sport really needs to look at it's infrastructure and get with the times were at least 50 years behind the continental fanciers , i look forward to your reply Mark Kettlestring
