think your bang on there , the biggest problem is 1 the unions are fragmented 5 unions in uk and Ireland , 2 no union has done anything positive for its membership regarding bop , i partly blame the way there set up with non fanciers , union means to come together to act as one , it's high time that we did just that, there are too many individual bodies and not one of them leading the way , all they do is take our fees and report birds and register rings and give distances out . But we need more , petitions have done sod all , I've never even heard on news once Racing pigeons have been mentioned in Parliament and the devastation bops are having on our past time , in the last 10 years things have changed drastically for the worse , my biggest fear is we all want something doing , we've tried the legal routes , but I think the politicians are deeply in the pockets of the R.S.P.B , i guess if what we have now resembles a third world without proper infrastructure then we have to start to rebuilding starting with one union for all , put those in power who want to act for the many not the few , invest in proper race plans , buy newer wagons create bigger federations / combines , national racing where clubs join rather than individuals , employ someone who's in the public eye as a naturist , send all our wagons down to parliament and bring London to a stand still , then perhaps we might have some credibility and get mentioned in parliament the bop protection law should have been lifted years ago as stated in the big house when they brought the protection out and rightly so after the misuse of DDT insecticides , now the protection needs lifting and investment in rebuilding habitats and planting broadleaf trees and recovering valuable wildlife habitat is needed , along with removal of urban bops and bops that are injured should be put to sleep as have no natural fear of man , rant over :emoticon-0179-headbang: :emoticon-0179-headbang:
