  3. kites are scavengers and eat mainly road kill or remains of bop kills they can smell the decaying carcasses so no threat to pigeons until there already dead , If you want something to attract hawks to your garden a small aviary of Canary's , these attract them , there like sirens to the bops especially if have a few mules amongst them then just place pecking post in front so you can get a great few of these marvellous creatures

  10. Yes but sprint racing became more prominent after the war where most of the birds they kept were distance birds so guess although the quickest were used to breed quicker birds they still would of had the ability to race further , i guess feeding techniques change and more so called sprint / middle distance birds fly further , theres many strains that have just done that look at Janssens they only flew there birds so far as deemed them to valuable to push them further although they will win at any distance , another strain of the 70's the Bricoux's Albert marselles hidden pair were bricoux and there blood was still prominent in his sprinters I think a lot is how there set up and fed
  11. the two pigeons were pretty lol
  12. problem are some are sending ill birds, other problems are some are relying on quantity rather than quality , whether your birds are in same baskets as these ill birds there getting cross contaminated from water or eating corn from birds been sick in there baskets and eating it , other problem is birds not been vaccinated , from what i've read there problems with avian pox , Newcastle disease , and salmonella and young bird sickness , the root of most of these problems is most birds are been propped up with the medicine cabinet and have no immune systems left . years ago ill birds would be removed and not propped up that's the biggest difference .
