  3. i agree Ulsterlofts as i said in the other thread best bird in the last few years. Not had the pleasure to handle him myself But would love to one day John
  4. when i was 17 I went to Pondersoa in holland and handled James Bond a 1983 blue cock what a cracker he was.
  5. Have to agree Old yellow and is the one point i have stated since the ETS debate begain. It is the fairest clocking device by a long way if all are on ETS, It does not matter if you are in a partnership with 5 able and fit partners or a 90 year old disabled women, or even like a member of my club who is wheelchair bound and can not pick his birds up and has to have help to clock in so if he could not get anyone aroung on a saturday he could not send. As for people taking mulitple positions simple put a limit in my club used ETS from day one and we now have 80% of the club on ETS and this year we have put a limit of upto 4 birds if they take postions in the first 4 and then only 2 birds there after. so you could take first 4 or 1st,2nd,4th etc buth there after only 2 birds in the first 20 then only first birds there after.
  6. Ron williamsons - Millennium superstar Mark Gilbert - International winner had a few other excellent results as well. A couple of birds in essex are up and coming to name 3 Brain Baxter has a cock with 2x2nd BICC and Lee Bastone has a cock with 1st bicc and 2nd NFC also John cowlin 1st NFC and 8th BICC
  7. Congratulations to both Mark Pegley and Mervyn Duffin on being the winners of our competition you both win a kit of 6 2009 y/b's The winners of our Formula 1 lofts completion for best performance Is Mark Pegley, Mark Brought 3 birds from us in oct/nov 2007 he raced young birds in 2008 from two of these winning 4th fed with one and then 1st SE section 104 members sent 890 birds 6th open CSCFC Lessay 240 members sent 1990 birds in the open what really made this result stand out in the judges eyes was the fact he won the section by over 5 minutes doing 1265 YPM with the SE section being the biggest section birdage wise sending just under half of the total entry and only 2 birds in the first 34 position and only 5 in the first 50 being SE section birds showing how hard it was for this section on the day. I think you will agree a great performance on the day. The winner of the lucky draw is Mervyn Duffin he also brought birds of formula 1 lofts for the first time in 2007 And he won second club with a bird who's parents were bred by formula 1 lofts, and then managed a 1st club 8th fed 1283 birds with one bred off a hen from formula 1 lofts this in 2 y/b races. Well done to you both John Gladwin
  8. I can not get video up athe moment as at work but if you feed big seeds this does happen i.e dog tooth maize or horse beans even some times on barley if it is long piece. are they flying ok how is the droppings and how do they look in general if all ok i would say they are fine. Cheers John
  9. Tumley Lofts - i done the same this year we have only been selling birds for 3 years but i wanted to go through the stock loft to cull any non performers so we run a competition to find out the info we done 1 prize for best performence or performences with our birds and 1 prize to be drawing lucky dip. the idea of this was not just to get the big winners but some of the smaller winners which has been very useful to see certain birds which through have not bred national, Classic or combine winners have bred birds to do well in club/fed races with 1 cock breeding a very high % of birds to either score or breed birds to win and score. I would say well worth doing mate All the best John Formula 1 lofts
  10. totally agree Rose
  11. i think like most things in pigeon racing nothing is black and white i think a good honest ped is very good and useful but also once you have that in place in the stock loft only the race results will prove if the birds are as good as you hoped. John
  12. Just like to wish you all a very happy Xmas and healthy and enjoyable new year. and hope the many winners we all dream about for next season come true All the best John
  13. Formula 1 lofts are proud to present a competition for people that have had birds from us as we go through a major overhaul of our stock at the end of the season and we don’t want to make any mistakes and suppress any birds that are breeding the goods in error. Remember we do not sell birds that have been bred from so these birds will not come up for sale. So what we are offering is two prizes firstly a prize of 6 2009 Y/B’S for the loft who in the eyes of an independent judge has the best single performance or best loft performances from all the entries received with birds either bred at Formula 1 lofts or that contain bloodlines from birds through us. The second chance to win will be open to anyone who sends us there results in with birds bred by formula 1 lofts or with birds that contain our bloodlines. There names will go in to a draw and the winner will be pulled out at random and that loft will also win a kit of 6 2009 Y/B’S The results do not have to be just from this season they can be any time since formula 1 lofts started selling birds in 2005. closing date 31st Dec 2008 Our own racing lofts are not eligible for any prizes nor are the racing loft of JP&J Gladwin. Who we at Formula 1 lofts would like to congratulate on the superb performance in winning the BICC National from Tours 405 members sent 3,693 birds with a bird bred by Formula 1 lofts. PLEASE PM me OR PHONE ME ON 07958 669555 / 01702 520560 Many thanks John Gladwin
  14. Hi mate you can get it from Belgium and Holland John
  15. Good question and like must things in this sport has loads of answers. if a complete novice i would say a few gift birds are a good place to start to help find what sort of birds suit you and make the mistakes we all make when you first start etc. but i think if you have a couple of years experience then it can be useful to buy a family of birds in maybe from someone out of the area and from a reputable seller who if he is worth anything would be willing to give advice and help as required John
  16. shame i think i missed that one LOL
  17. thanks for moving this to the right section John
  18. Good glad you got them ok - hope you feel better mate. happy Xmas and new year to you as well cheers John

Also if anyone who normaly recevies any e-mails from me can you please send me one so i can then save your address again. many thanks John
  20. Hi mate did you receive the paper work ok for the couple of gift birds you had from me mate. Cheers John
  21. I think dishonest sellers get found out very quickly as word of bad birds go around a lot quicker then good birds. The reason we sell birds is to keep improving our stock loft which in turn makes us better races (hopefully) and makes the birds we sell even better. the only birds we sell are y/b's direct from the stock we have brought. In a very short space of time the amount of winners we have been told of is great. but as Tumley said they don't all bred winners just last weekend we disposed of a cock we paid over a £1000 for because he did not bred the goods. I could have took him to Doncaster a couple of weeks ago and sold him for £300-£400 but for me that is not right and very unfair to any buyers.
  22. hi mate his number is 07769881594 just tell him i gave you his number he is a top bloke and very good with the pics mind you he is very busy. cheers John
  23. 100% agree mate and to i get to no a bit about them i let them free pair even stock birds the only thing i would stop is a nestpair going down together. once they have been paired to a couple of mates on this method then i start to pair them as i think will get best results. race team always free pair just open doors. Many top breeding pairs picked there own mates including M&D Evans Jester & Carrie
  24. Yes Rose bred by me but raced by my Mum & Dad
