cos the combined ets sputniks will be quicker and easier for the youngbird lofts and the oldbirds will just have a landingboard and walk in over the pad.
keeping training, i wouldn't worry about the race but educate them or you'll lose them next year!
try training in the morning etc or at a different time.
The person who is doing the training:-
Is he going the same time each day?
Is he going to the same place each time?
If the answer is yes to the above it will be like pre arranged meal time for the BOP's!
Vary training locations and lib times!
I think we all make misstakes, but do we learn from them?
I've pushed birds a race to far, bred to many, paid to much for the wrong birds, given the wrong birds away etc etc but its all part of learning in this great sport!
be very careful putting stock in rabbit hutches unless you greatly reduce the opening. The stockbirds could be nervous and will be out and away before you know it your not careful!
you need a good source of fresh air at ground level and as the birds will have heated the air then the warm air needs an exit point as high as possible this will give you a constant airflow replacing stale air continuesly
Stray catchers as we have on the site will collect them together, often cut the rings off and then sell them on after they have already been paid to remove them.
Why do you think birds turn up at home with the rings removed!
Are your birds out all day or just excercised and shut back in?
If they are only out for excercise twice daily etc then ask him for proof of his acusations.
if they've still got or even had rings on them!
I keep away from birdtrader even for cage birds now, the phone numbers are premium rate to start with and you know what its like when you ring people, you start chatting, asking details and its a tenner gone!
I've seen a couple of reports now where councils have employed BOP's to clear the ferals from an area of there town, the faulconer spends a couple of days in the area, charges thousands, doesn't kill a pigeon the hawk just causes them to move elsewhere! When the BOP has done his job and is taken home they ferals come back!
Another waste of council money!
