if they are latter bred or left on darkness to long they may not moult the end flights which will not benefit them next year. Also there is a chance that when they throw there 1st flight next year they will also throw the next unmoulted baby flight preventing them from being raced.

Some like to pamper there birds Lindsey, if they can't compete then they'll try all the gadgets going instead of looking in the mirror!

Sat waiting with my Grandfather many year ago waiting for his 2 national birds, 1 dropped at 10.05pm and its son dropped at 10.10pm!

What i'm saying is if this was filmed as a TV production then it would be governed by health a safty and the use of birds would also be governed by rules and regulations. If they didn't meet the regulations they wouldn't have been permitted to be used!

I've also worked on many film sets and as with everything else they are governed by health and safty rules which would also apply to the use of livestock!

Before you all get on your high horses, does anybody actualy know if they were released in the dark as unusual to have a funeral at night, or was the scene shot in a studio where as has been sugested the birds are trained to fly from one basket to another! There are many shows at zoo's and parks where this happens every day! Lets have some facts before the mud slinging starts?
