  1. Same old thing Tom, many don't like something new but there are still choices at the moment. But I think its more to do with the RPRA not asking the membership for an opinion before imposing the rings upon them. Just want to race my birds and as long as they have a legal ring on the legs i couldn't give a monkeys what it looks like!
  2. will get them added.

    what should i do

if you can put them in different sections when they arrive would be a good idea. As each batch arrives get them settled, into a feeding routine etc then start getting them out.
  4. make sure they don't forget to register them! ;)
  5. how many have you got Ant?
  6. not only Belgium rings but all rings without a metal sleeve/insert.
  7. I asked Gail either last week or the week before as I have some here and was told there is no restriction on racing them as long as they are registered with the WHPU.
  8. I asked Ant and there has been nothing put forward to prevent them as of last week.
  9. very smart, well done. I do agree with the comment about the tin roof overhang, put somesort of facia along it to cover up the sharp edge.
  10. you'll have to pay £5 for the manual ;D ;D ;D
  11. hope they don't like chewing wood!
  12. guess the 08Z's are Louella
  13. how many post the ring numbers! Pics are fine but I think adding ring numbers adds to the risk.
  14. At least with a cammera you can get some images which somebody will know if posted!
  15. He's not prepared to answer questions from the members in the BHW so why would he on a forum?
  16. i hear Mr Bills has hung up on quite a few people and is not prepared to listen to members opinions!
  17. Thats fine, all updated.
  18. just let them walk about the loft, garden etc, you don't want them to come out and go straight up into the air. They will take to the air when they are ready. They need to get used to the outside environment as well, let them have a bath infront of the loft etc and it will help settle them.
  19. give the baby's 2 feeds a day and get them used to you before you let them out. Decide how you want to call them back in, shake tin, whistle etc then do that when feeding. Make sure they are hungry when you let them out that way when you call them they should come straight in.
  20. Totaly agree, they will do any distance if you've got the right ones! Colin Hill in Milton Keynes can win at any distance with them, he's not mad on the distance but his club members had been giving him some stick about not sending to Lerwick, so he sent and won, club, and fed!
