  15. from what you have said you have no control over your bird. It has now picked up bad habbits and has got a second home which will be almost impossible to break it from visiting. If you get more birds then do not let them out with this bird as he will only take them off to wherever he goes to and you will be wasteing your time with them.
  16. Nothing there!
  17. Well done John, Sometimes we forget we all had to start somewhere and needed encouragement. Phil
  18. Welcome to the site. As has been said above, check you can keep birds where you are firstly, find your local club where you may find a local fancier who will mentor you. Before you think about getting any birds get your loft sorted, design it, alter it but try and get it right first time rather than having to keep changeing it, makeing sure ventilation works etc.

    What are these?

i find using an upturned fishtank on the loft roof is good! Put your birds underneath, very good for settleing them and allowing a good look around.
  20. I agree, members should remember how they held there first pigeon! I bet it wasn't they way we do now! Back to the other question, the cockbird treads/covers the Hen but sometimes hens will tread hens and cocks will tread cocks!
  21. prob is Phil they will have some encrypted data that you can't change i.e owners name or loft name etc which would stop you doing pedigrees.
  22. Youngsters look very healthy! Newspaper will only draw damp if your loft is damp!
  23. welcome and enjoy
  24. make sure they have room to swing, dont but them up to tightly.
  25. how old is she? They all only contain a certain amount of eggs and when that amount have been layed over the years they will lay no more.
