    Best software

Never heard of it but East Coast software is good and easy to use once you've got bird details entered.

    WAT DO I DO

thats a bit harsh Tammy! You could always keep fancy pigeons or show racers that you can show Ben and wouldn't need to fly out solving the problem of hawks. Phil
  4. prob got chilled

    i give up

there are faster breeds but the birds do get street wise to the hawks

    i give up

Unfortunatly thats life! Pigeon racing is only going to get harder until raptors are controlled, and that is unlikely to happen any time soon! We have to breed twice as many as we want to just to make sure we have some left at the end of the season and the hawks are fed!
  7. good luck and be patient, just let the pair get on with it!

    Pieter Kos

I think Peter Kos is more of a dealer than a fancier. The whites he was selling at Blackpool 2yrs ago where Delbars and Cardons!

    WAT DO I DO

The only way to find out what you've got is to race them but you may findyou have breeders as well as racers amongst your team. If you have 6 youngbirds from a pair race 4 and keep 2 back for stock.
  10. All birds make mistakes especialy youngbirds or how else will they learn? A few years ago a pigeon dropped into me one sat afternoon, clearly racing, I rang the owner who collected the bird on the Sunday as the bird had just gone past its loft. The following 2 wks the bird topped the fed and won RPRA awards that season and the following season! Never be to hasty to bin a bird, we all make mistakes don't we? Phil

    courier

Can i also sugest that whoever coordinates the programme they work with feds and combines whose transporters are running up and down the country empty! Only problem you have with this plan is DEFRA and transportation of livestock laws!

    courier

    sounds like a good idea
  13. We do report them, thats why we can speak from experience but I know a lot who no longer bother because the majority don't want them back if they have made a mistake or won't pay Amtrak fees! Ferrits eat well!
  14. 9 out of 10 birds reported are not wanted back! The owners are always, ill and can't collect, don't drive, pensioners and can't afford amtrak etc etc etc! Then they tell you how well bred the bird is! Is it any wonder people don't bother reporting strays to getting sob stories!
  15. where are you jakjak?
  16. our 1st race is April 19th from Swindon but prob a lot will be starting before that.
  17. hawks, wires, and fanciers fed up reporting birds to fanciers who don't want them back!
  18. Welsh birds will be at Epsom on May 3rd, not going to Woking this year.
  19. how many have you got 883girl?
  20. the web link is a nice site! Do the birds all live/return to the same loft or are there lofts dotted around the region?
  21. Scoobybob, don't tell the club you hope to be succesful one day or they won't let you join!
  22. if it was kids and they do get caught they won't do anything to them! Do you think its going to be kids at that time of the morning or just some jealous sick B*****d?
  23. Also when racing starts the liberations will be listed in the BHW so you can see when there is one in your area. We race from Epsom and Woking.
