  1. sure we'll excuse you, this time Phil
  2. Boomerang, stop pressing your refresh button!
  3. The RSPCA, thats a laugh, arson is a criminal offence, unless they can make a high profile prosecution for cruelty etc that they can get beneficial publicity from they are not interested!
  4. it is possible for a bird to escape before liberation which would give an improbable velocity and be way out in front. I would never acuse anybody of cheating without proof or knowing all the facts!
  5. dovescot, are you breeding in cages?
  6. for the uneducated, an improbable velocity would be a velocity that exceeds that expected or atainable with weather conditions / wind direction. i.e birds lib at 9.00, bird clocked at 10.00 flying 60miles = 1760 ypm. slight tail wind would be expected velocity, head wind would be improbible velocity!
  7. big brothers watching you! 8)
  8. clear sky here with full sun at the moment, birds flew but its a bit cold for them!
  9. did you only have the one loft or have you others that survived?
  10. Sorry to hear your bad news and hope you get them! No doughbt the police don't want to know! If you get another loft sorted and we can help you with a couple of youngbirds then let us know! Phil p.s keep your chin up!
  11. The reason you could ruin your season is by not getting them through the moult in time. If they are not ready they will be on the end flight when you need them most!
  12. they are just moulting wing flights but will prob go into body moult when they stop rearing young!
  13. Yes, I have been keeping stockbirds on 24hr light since I paired them in January and some of them have 6 flights up already!
  14. My understanding of it is breed early, put youngsters on maximum lighting and feed to push them through the moult in time for racing! I think thats the basics but will be more to it than that! Phil
  15. Scoobybob, I would e-mail Peter Bryant at the RPRA and tell him the situation, explain you are also new to the sport etc. If he is not made aware of these cases then this will never change! Then also ask him where there are other clubs in your area that you may be able to join and sure be made welcome at! Phil
  16. Well done! Phil
  17. see what sec says when he rings you back, but I would get your application in writing to the sec.
  18. some clubs have membership limits and can only take new members when others resign which usualy happens at AGM but sec should say if thats the case!
  19. Applications can be taken at any meeting not just AGM's!
  20. scoobybob, the sec sounds out of date as the RPRA fee has gone up to £10 which is the fee he has qouted you for membership to the RPRA enableing you to get rings. If you download the form and fill it in, send it to me and i'll get it signed for you. Phil
  21. yes, just put there detail on the form and the reddings will register them. Even if they are not members at least you won't get any reported to you and have bthe hassle of claiming them.
  22. If you've been lucky enough to buy some Scoobybob you will not be disapointed and couldn't have brought from more genuine dedicated fanciers with performances to match.
  23. That was quick Ant, quality soon goes!
