    libs for 26/4/08

Looking at the lib times I can see clashes already! SWW at newbury 7.05, flying over Newbury where Rhonda lib 7.30. 22 miles appart so they will get together then when they reach Bristol they will hit the Hereford birds coming up from Wincanton! Good luck!
  7. sorry, i'll expand on that! I know david doesn't plan to breed, but human nature as it is i'm sure cutiosity will get the better of David at some point and he may let a pair hatch to see the lovely little yellow fluff balls! As soon as this happens I don't think David would want to part with them and then a loft of crosses are formed. Phil
  8. I may be speaking out of turn but if there was any chance David might become more serious about pigeons and think about starting to race then would crosses be a good idea? Phil
  9. i'm sure a lot of us link up one way or another so could move a bird around without cost and to be honest I think with the good workDavid has done we would all be happy to support him! Phil
  10. Has anybody on here got a hen that has an injured wing etc? If they have it would save David the trouble of having to break it in as well and would give the cock another incentive to stick around! Phil

  12. David he looks happy in his shed, well done. Did you have any luck with your fittings? If you want to put a small flight on to the shed I have some spare aviary panels here. Phil
  13. David there is a corn store in Bristol (Country Wide) they may well stock drinkers, feeders etc as well. If you can't find them ask Stewert as he will be getting his stuff from somewhere local. Phil
  14. The ammount they breed there must be some good ones, law of averages!
  15. as people say you pay your money and take your chances but always quarinteen them before mixing with your own for a week just incase!
  16. ETS will not make poor birds fly faster or change anybody's loft position! Vics words are that of a bad loser, just accept you position and enjoy your racing cos there ain't nothing you can do about it!

    neighbours

most places the legal height is now 2m from the highest side. If you lower the fence to 2m then the council or neighbour can't do anything about it. Our previous neighbour but up an 8ft fence here to stop me talking to my partner across his garden but because his ground is higher he didn't have to do anything about it. Fortunatly he's now moved and its suprising how strong the winds can be arround here! Phil
  21. keep away from medication and used tried and tested methods, basket and black bag! As long as the loft management is right you don't get sick birds!

    perigrine

  23. when buying birds always ask vendor if they use regular antibiotics, if they do then walk away!
  24. Vallance, maybe saddo should take some! As well as his worms it will help his verbal diarrhea! Phil
