  1. cheers Amanda! Realy don't know what you mean! Phil :K)
  2. looking forward to seeing them
  3. don't forget it would confuse them as to what colour water to have on a different day!
  4. they'd rather keep their heads in the sand and blame everything but themselves!
  5. the fed went up at 7.45 from Swindon and returns were good, best yb race yet for those racing. The unions should step in and organise liberations to help everybody, i.e north road lib sats and south road lib sun, how much clashing would that reduce?
  6. A lot of that has been lost now with small clubs, the banter on a friday and sat night, club shows etc through the winter all used to be part of the enjoyment, now if you win to much you become an outcast!
  7. A lot of odd fellows around Newport eh Chris!
  8. returns were good last sunday
  9. The most possitive thing that came out of the meeting was to have all youngbird libs on Sundays to avoid clashing etc especialy on the route we fly!
  10. Nownow David you kep that quiet! Paul, you may find that joining any club that has already got ETS may put you at a dissadvantage unless you buy your own. The grant will have been applied for to supply current membership with equiptment and as grant limit is £5000 unlikely to have purchased spare equiptment. Phil
  11. I have just come back from the SWW meeting. We have voted for extending the season by 2 wks, infact only 1 wk as the 1st race was cancelled. Personally i don't think it mattered what we decided tonight the feeling is a desicion has already been made at combine/national level. Its not about money with our fed as we pay a fixed weekly fee wether we send or not so there is never a question of the fed losing money etc. Phil
  12. Paul, we are also in South Wales, not far from Ant. I wouldn't bother with Louella and look around your area for something to get started with. Again you are welcome to a pair of youngsters next year. Phil

    WHITE RACERS

Sue, has anybody that have had your youngbirds tried racing them? Phil
  14. haha, no but i know they'll fly to these damn mountains and valleys!
  15. sent you pm mark
  16. how are the hangovers?
  17. you could just lay 4 paving slabs as a base and put it on there, easily hosed down and not to much work involved.
  18. it maybe worth thinking about putting the flight infront of the door so you go through the flight into the shed. That will reduce the risk of anything flying out past you and give them somewhere to come out into and have a bath etc during the day. Phil
  19. your doing a good job. Must admit I wouldn't have let the out in the thunder last night as the atmospheric preasure goes mad. After you have called them in for a few times by standing in the shed by shaking a food tub, calling them, whistleing etc then you can move outside the shed and do the same thing. They will know when that call comes there food will be inside waiting for them. You also get the pleasure of seeing them come down and going in. Phil
  20. is junior flying out daily now David?

Are they not split rings? I thought they were crimped on latter rather than rung with the normal rings, but think most cut them off! Phil

  24. Novice, many clubs have obtained grants to improve there equiptment wether ets or not. Federations have also applied and received grants, we have a transporter being built at the moment but none of the grants have been scuppered as you say. All the grants are being used for the betterment of the sport. Phil
