  1. Would be interesting to see who actualy goes to there region meetings. We all have been complaining about the dinosaours we have be who sends anybody to make changes? Phil
  2. I think the way its being done is the best way. As they say its the buyer who is going to pm the seller in the first instance and they should provide all there details to complete the transaction. Only if this line of communication fails should a buyer need to obtain details from Richard or Gemma. Will buyers of auction birds also need approval to prevent newbies appearing, placeing silly bids never to be heard of again? Phil
  3. Single, central marking stations instead of little clubs dotted around!
  4. A lot of supplements need something to activate them! A lot of people use gloucosomine but don't know and arn't told you need to take vitamin C to activate it!
  5. joe, just set up an online petition!
  6. no reason it should dissapear, fuel costs etc will continue to hit but fanciers may go back to milers!
  7. every year propositions get forwarded from clubs, passed at fed, passed at region and then forwarded to be included with props at RPRA AGM to then be ruled out of order by the Dinosaurs if they don't agree with it! These props will have been checked by various people enroute so how can this happen? Phil
  8. Well done Richard
  9. a note through who's door?

    amtrak going bust?

I have e-mailed the RPRA and the woman responsible for fancier coordination and support at Amtrak without reply from either! Head in sand comes to mind!
  12. It's a crazy world we live in when we can't help our neighbours! Before I moved here the club had a training trailer and only a couple ever used it, most would rather wave to each other when they pass down the road to and from training! Why? They all think they will do better if they do what they want when they want and might gain an advantage! PHil
  13. This is common in clubs, if he's been winning or isn't in "the click" nobody wants to know! A friend of mine has exactly the same problem and if it wasn't for his wife and family he wouldn't be able to keep the birds at all any longer!
  14. Maybe we should have a list of members prepared to mentor and in which area they live and what birds they keep, i.e racers, tumblers etc. Then any newbies if required could be mentored by somebody local as its not always possible to give all advice by pm and a visit would sort out a problem. Also a newbie could visit an experienced fanciers loft to see what goes on, even maybe before they've gone out and got birds etc. Phil
  15. Try and keep seperate lofts if you can. Both types need different treatment at different times of the year. Phil

    amtrak going bust?

As has been said Rose, the drivers have been told to turn up tomorrow to see if it has been saved and they have jobs. Sure we will here any news in the morning.
  22. just ask me, some people don't like others knowing when they buy new stock as they are trying to gain an advantage with better birds etc. Phil
  23. With current high losses when training and racing you may not last long with a few birds, but give it a go!
  24. Any wins with others birds are credited to the breeders here, show or race! Many don't!
  25. with only a few birds you are also likely to have an empty dovecot very quickly.
