when you join Carterton Mike, they order country wide in bulk and the members buy at cost, a great idea if the clubs got room to store it. Phil

  9. any of the ideas, wood or tubeing works by making the hole smaller although eventualy some will master a new technic. Best to keep the holes covered when the birds are in, not only prevents escape but also prevents cats etc from being able to enter.

    Bathing in the loft

I have to bath some in the loft but place the bath on fresh dry shavings and then when they have finished empty the bath outside and sweep up the shavings, that way the floor stays dry.
  22. im not convinced about the PDSA, its ok if you register incase you need them but in most cases when people need help its not there! My parents, both pensioners had one of there dogs hit by a car about a month ago on a saturday, they took it to there own vet who put it in plaster until they could look at it proporly on the monday. I sugested my parents ring the PDSA, they did to get an answer phone message saying in case of an emergancy ring you local vet and the offices would be open again on monday! On the monday parents rang the PDSA and were told that they would be eligable for help but needed to register before the dog had its accident! Great help, i don't think and a vets bill over £1000! Phil
