  4. but they were only put in because most of there clubs attended the AGM, if enough clubs from other areas attend the AGM and there are others prepared to stand for office then they can be voted out! It the usual problem, if your not there don't complain afterwards! Phil
  5. When people give up racing due to hawk problems or club issues then why don't they take up showing, that way you still get both the pleasure from the birds and competition. Phil

  15. i asume the police are involved but somewhere like crimewatch won't be interested in the attempted theft of a few pigeons but it could be sugested to the police they may like to use the forums etc as a medium for there apeal? Phil
  16. have you managed to re-home him yet Ted?
  17. Hi Nikki, sorry to hear you are still fighting over the birds. Firstly the birds like as much contact, time spent with them as you have available but they are not going to suffer if you are not able to give it to them. As long as they are fed and watered regularly they will be quite happy. I don't know what your plans are for when the baby is born, if anything like here at the moment the baby has thrown everything into termoil but have you made arrangements incase you are off your feet for a while etc? You will prob find pet sitters in your area and they may be prepared to go and feed etc while you are unable to alternatively there may be a local member on the forum prepared to look after your remaining 3 birds for a while. Just a thought! Good luck Phil
  18. If you are going to race them first then hopefully by the time you decide to breed from them you may have sorted out the birds that are going to perform and some will have been lost or disguarded. If you are going to make it a serious/competative partnership then you may want to purchase some stock, if you do buy from a proven loft putting up regular good performances and buy birds as close to the winners as you can, not from studs that sell birds generations removed from anything thats won.
