  17. although the rspb are a most powerful organization , there are some organizations, more powerful,,,,,,cancer research ,,,, this charity have experienced pro. officers all over the UK,,this charity does have the public's support,,, now as i had mentioned earlier ,, helping a charity , of this strength would do many things,, first and foremost ,help the charity [which I'm sure many of our families have had some relative succumb to this disease] I'm quite sure it would be possible to have a" relay fly with pigeons" from north to south and back up again, the shorter the relay distance, the more cities involved, each doing their bit for this charity [and the more publicity] the daffodil is the cancer research logo [or emblem] one tiny daffodil petal pinned on to the rings of the competing birds with cancer research and phone no on it[or members phone no.?] this, im sure would be a first of this kind, therefore bringing mass news coverage [letting the c,r pro officers do the work, and they would make sure this would have excellent publicity ,for their own good ] IF ANY OF THESE PIGEONS THAT WERE INVOLVED FOR SUCH A CHARITY, WERE FOUND TO BE HAWKED OR DEAD OR INJURED BY THE CAUSE OF HAWKS , IM SURE THIS WOULD BRING MASSIVE SUPPORT FROM THE PUBLIC ,,,,,,,,JUST A THOUGHT???
  18. AND I HOPE THE RSPB SEE THIS TOO >
  19. at least home , and feeding ,,,,,,,how hard is this to tell a young lad who gifted me the pigeon >,,his favourite and,my favourite > please ,,,if anyone has had a hawk attack and can produce any sort of evidence ,,,please do as bart said ,, report this to the shu , 231a low waters rd ,,hamilton ml3 7qn ,,,,for the sake of this , please, :'(,, all,,," pull from the same rope" as this situation is worse than ever ,,,,and will only get worse,,, i thank" jackie" so very much for saving this birds life , and if she, and the young lad who gifted me the bird, see this ,,,,, the bird is comming along now feeding and drinking ,,,and will stay in the loft,,,,so once more a big thankyou to jackie, a non fancier, who tended to this bird :K)

  24. possibly reasons for this majorpet??,, having had a thorough look at all hawk posts etc, there's a couple of questions I'm not sure about? firstly , looking back at defras ,e mail to me reply 161, answered by Christine rumble, species advisor ,defra,, qoute part of e mail " in the wildlife and countryside act 1981" the act", section 1 [6] of the act EXCLUDES any bird which can be shown to have been bred in captivity, the parent birds may therefore not be protected, if it shows these are captive birds escapees ,,,,,,the chicks of these birds are protected , as the eggs were laid when the parents were in the wild " unquote ,,,,now there are captive peregrines either released by the rspb or escaped by the rspb ,,or escaped by anyone,,,now according to this "act" these peregrines are not protected [or cant be protected] a very fine line here ?? secondly, after talking to various gamekeepers , they tell me that the rspb clear peregrines nests regularly of pigeon rings,, these rings are never returned to the various unions ,so that the owners, who PAID for these rings, never get them back,, so in fact the rspb are stealing our pigeon rings ,,,now if this can be proved , can the rspb be charged with theft [as i believe i could prove this ]?? just a thought? and thirdly after trying the" Scotsman " newspaper , about this recent hawk attack, it was fairly obvious , their all for the rspb ,, which does make you think how powerful they are [the rspb] and fourthly i would strongly recommend, that any fanciers , that have any evidence at all , on hawk attacks , to report this , with as much detail as poss , to the s,h u 231a low waters road, Hamilton , ml3 7qn ,, we should be all "pulling from the same rope" when it comes to a situation like this , as this is for the benefit of all fanciers ,be it fancy pigeons , show pigeons, pet pigeons, or racing pigeons and remember,,,David did beat Goliath
  25. after speaking with the s.h.u secy, Mrs , Linda brooks about this most recent hawk attack , she has kindly asked me to message all fanciers , that any hawk attacks in the next six weeks or so , should be reported to her, with [if possible] photographic evidence, time , place, newspaper cuttings etc , as this could prove very helpful to ALL PIGEON FANCIERS through out the uk Mrs brooks has only a short time to complete this dossier, if any fanciers could assist her to complete this dossier, I'm sure she would be very grateful ,as all pigeon fanciers , should benefit from this.
