  1. I like to read all about the birds history and the details of the fanciers that we are up against. Promoting the sport in this day and age is a must for all members, whoever gets the job. Its too easy just to put a result out, but without any details it becomes boring. imao.
  2. I,ll be aiming at training them really well and taking great care at the races. weather, distance ect will be huge factors as to what i do. and obviously cross my fingers ;D ;D
  3. Sounds like the plan i was aiming at.
  4. cheers les. i was hoping to race on the roundabout system.
  5. Cheers len just hope to hold onto the best, and use them along with my own bred ones this year. Good luck for 2009
  6. Due to my circumstances last year, i have 38 yearlings to race this year, that have never raced a young bird programme. They have only had x6 15 mile tosses, to help break them to my new address. What would be the best way to train and race them? my shortest race is 48 miles approx, out to 400 miles approx. I want to know their capabilities are without throwing them away.
  7. Thats the gentleman in him rude not to accept the kind gesture ;D ;D
  8. And?
  9. Fascinating, i,ll try that one
  10. lay the bird on its back with its head tucked underneath. If the bird just lays there its a hen, if it gets straight back up its a cock. Been pretty accurate for me.
  11. Cheers mate, forgot it was tonight
  12. Jealousy wont get you far harry ;D
  13. Who is running this, this year?
  14. Hardly.
  15. Glad to see sense prevailed. I sent my race reports to joe when i was with Kennoway club to let the fancy know all about how the club was racing. I will be sending my new club Lochgelly,s racing results to him also, as it helps promote our club. Its always nice to read about racing in Scotland as a whole, there isnt enough coverage, so i enjoy reading what there is, whoever it is printing it.
  16. best wishes to you all.
  17. Douglas my dear, dont ask and i wont lie ;
  18. Couldnt agree more brian.
  19. Very nice mate, where did you get the flag pole?i,m looking to get one.
  20. There was only one team on the pitch, scotland were terrible. Well done wales.
  21. I used it brian when i started racing, and it seemed to work well. I too used it as a pick me up and restorer, but never in preparation for a race.
  22. Surely we need the reports to justify the national we have, and if that means payment for them so be it (within reason). I think we can make savings elsewhere without doing away with certain positions. After all you only get out, what you put in. Put nothing in = you;ll get nowt out. i,m sure the committee will make the correct decision.
  23. Not getting involved mucker, just giving my opinion
  24. yeha the oil drips hame again, lock yer daughters up ;D ;D ;D yes douglas, but you didnt tell the people that you got there first ;D ;D
