I was speaking to Unikon today regarding a members clock, and at the same time asked them to confirm how i was doing our result. Here is the problem: theres 2 ets systems set up at marking (system a & system b ) system a is set at 1.00pm system b is set at 1.02pm(operator error). member puts his birds through system a (clock set at 1.00pm) after the race member puts his clock through system b. on his print out it shows set time 1:00:00 flyers clock 1:00:00 strike time 6:00:00 flyers clock 6:02:00 Now the problem i have is, do i leave the arrival times as they are printed. Or do i add 2 minutes onto the times. Unikon didnt really have a clue but tried to give an explanation, and confused me in the process. Any help is much appreciated. alex

I,m having to pass this information on regarding contacting myself, due to a phone call i received at 9.05pm on Sunday night. When i do the result, i try my best to get it out quickly and more importantly, correctly. However, there will be issues that may arise, whether it be missing information, wrong distances ect ect. The first result that i put out is a preliminary result, which basically means that should there be any issues needing addressed, then they will be, before the final result is published. Up and till this point, i would gladly receive calls from any of the 130 members within Fife Federation. However when i received a call on Sunday night from a member, who all he wanted to do was prove that he was right, and i was wrong, that is now going to change. Sadly i am reverting back to rule regarding results, where if there is an issue to be dealt with, it will be put in writing to myself within 7 days of the preliminary result being put out. As it happened, i had said that i didnt have the members distance, when i did. This was not intentional to, but more of any oversight (after rechecking his pools sheet). I will gladly deal with club officials at any time. But i cannot receive calls of this nature, and i hope that the members appreciate where i am coming from. I am very grateful to the membership who have shown their appreciation for the work i do (as did this member in question). This is not aimed at vindicating this member in question, but to eliminate unnecessary uncomfortable calls. Ladies and gents. I have altered the ring number and pools details for Turpie & McCords first pigeon, it had been written wrongly on clock sheet. I have altered Brian Chalmers distance from 262 miles to 261 miles, my error when loading the distances, apologies. I have confirmed with Gary Peggie that i am aware of ets issues regarding the east marking station: 21 ets sheets are out by 1 second, 1 sheet is out by 1 minute and 59 seconds, and 6 are out by 2 minutes. This is being addressed, and has been caused by ets base stations not reading the same times. 1 ets sheet from the west marking station is out by 6 seconds, and again is being addressed by the secretary and president. Please be patient, and thank to Rosie Armitt, Brian Chalmers and Gary Peggie for contacting me with these concerns. regards alex

Does anyone know what this code means please. clock strikes off as normal, showing all the birds that have arrived. however one off them has SCL in its column. when doing the result, all pigeons that are on the arrival sheet are on the result, apart from the one with SCL next to it. any clues as to why? kind regards alex.

just as you described paul, does the job just dandy. Would love to do similar project but just cant at this moment in time. How many birds are you looking to keep in each section? i,m always tempted by a drawer type style for cleaning out, so that it can be cleaned whilst the birds are still in the loft. have the drawer pull out at the front, quick scrape, then pushed back in. I,m aiming to do this for my dad who is keeping budgies and canaries at the moment. But yet again Paul, tremendous job as usual :emoticon-0137-clapping:
