one step forward 3 steps back andy. Our manual guys were well away back home and the ets lads left hanging about. Seems bizarre that this is the case. hey ho.

Does the SNFC accept ets printouts of arrivals?? The reason i ask is at the Fife marking station, the guys are having to copy the details from the printout onto the same sheets used for manual clocks. The marking station opened just before 8.15pm, and the last clock (x50 approx) was done at 10.40pm, with the delay caused by writing out ets details. Surely if theres going to be an error involving ets clocks, its going to be when the information is being transferred. So the question is, does the SNFC accept ets printouts as a copy of the arrivals? If not why not? any help is welcomed.

I,m glad i,m not the only one going mad lol. As williedoo says, it wasnt the clock that went fast or slow, it was the base station that was set wrong. I agree that the timings should be treated as true and no variation should be applied. If they went through the same marker to strike off as they did being marked, then their clocks would be true. But because the other base station was 2 minutes out, its the base station thats wrong and not the clock. Unikon couldnt give me a convincing answer, that is why everything is confusing. Ive had 4 different senarios, and not a clue how to deal with the result. One thing for sure is that a change on how things are done at the marking station needs to be looked at, as this is going backwards and not forwards. thanks for all your replies, but i,m even more confused, and i think i,m well clued up on the system lol lol

As its a fed race we use mysoft race program. we should be able to input ets arrivals without master timers ect, as ets is true. They were both manually set as the professional system requires when bring more than one to a race. For some reason. instead of setting them all at the same time, this error has occured. What should be a simple task has turned into a bit of a nightmare. Lochgelly Homing society uses champ (black ringer) and the rest in fife use professional (grey ringer).
