i,m at my work clockman, otherwise i would dig it out . just thought i,d try using the new shu site as i have access to internet all day. it wasnt wingstamped so that causes more work for me, i,m sure its a rule to have it done.

Dougie Balds No 01314493100, ets rings can read through more than 3/4in ply. As a test guys try different heights, try a ring to the edges, try covering the pads with different materials, as for not reading through a rubber, well i cant get my head aroung that one. The rubbers neednt be placed on any ring, they should be below the ets/metal ring for ease of getting off. As Sapper said in fife we put them on the metal ring leg.

You can strike of a race if it has been set up on another system ie nationals. Just follow the normal procedures of striking off. Do this before you start marking as if you do it half way through, you need to switch off the system to come out of race marking mode, and switch back on to strike off. Once you,ve struck off you switch off then on again and carry on marking. Hope this helps, these are situations i,ve faced and managed to work through. Its a very good system and there is a lot to learn to fully understand it(secretaries), for the normal fancier it is straight forward.

1/3, my luck ran out yesterday. Didnt get my first till 7.45pm, thats me closed till the young birds, ah well lol.

We had a similar problem. What the answer was to our problem was: the fancier had not put his clock into the base station prior to the birds arriving home, resulting in the base station not knowing that he was at the race. You MUST put your clock in the base station before ANY birds arrive home. The bird will time into the base station, and will show an arrival time, however it wont show on the print out. Solution was to print an arrival sheet straight from his base station showing all the required information, and this was accepted by our members, dont know about fed or national races accepting it as the rules arent clear enough. Hope that helps a little.

Alf, this bird belongs to Perth and district club which would possibly have been flying in the Newbury national(snfc). There were a few birds reported down that way, my dad stays there and whilst visiting him on the 8th there was one given to me from Motherwell to take home. Just after i left, another one dropped in from fife, so its a safe bet to say they were of the line of flight that day. regards alex.

Tribute to Scott Gibson by Scottish North West Fed
alex wight replied to a topic in Pigeon Politics, Rules & Regulations
I think its disgusting the way this federation has added a whole load of fuel to this situation. The right thing to do is go through the proper procedures to get to the bottom of it. If no-one is convicted then we will have to live with it, in the same manner that if there is a guilty verdict we will all know that the right thing has been done. Its a shame that the fed has done this, its not very sportsmanlike and could have been handled in a more profesional manner. I think the SHU should be taking more to do with this considering the severity of the subject. It can ultimately damage our precious sport, if not dealt with properly. -
Why did he put them through other marking stations?

Is there an investigation being carried out to clarify if its true or not? What is the national commitee saying? what can the committee tell its members, of these allegations? Will this person be permitted to fly again if he wishes? just a few questions i would be asking the committee if i was a member , (the reason i,m not is because of my arson attack earlier this year, i will be next year). Being fairly new to the sport, i struggle to understand the operations of the snfc. There seems to be a lot spoken about this and that, which i think is important, and i feel the membership isn,t consulted or updated, at all. WHY NOT!

Nat sav definetly then. Whats happening in between races m8 is there an otterburn toss on???
-
So happy for you m8 lol buy the bird a sat nav for the next race see how she gets on. lol

I was in a desprate position not so long ago as documented on this site, with reference to my arson attack. I didnt have to shout out for help as this hit everyone , even the non-fancier. The offers of birds and equipment from the members all over was overwhelming, and i cant thank you all enough. To the point, if you are a genuine person with a genuine cause, the unlimited help you recieve from the people i call friends, is as i say overwhelming. I will keep the site up to date with my future progress, i have nothing to hide so i will gladly share with all. There are a few people who are grabbers and seek freebies and will not think twice about dupping the kindhearted people you find on here and in the fancy in general. That is why people are cautious, not because they dont want to help, but they do want a little appreciation from people they help. I,m getting ready to drive to England 173 miles to pick up 11 young birds to help me get started again. I want to do this because i want to meet the person in person who kindly offered me the best of his birds. He stays in the vacinity of my dad, who i,m killing 2 birds with one stone(excuse the pun). I,m also going to meet Jackie Wedgewood whom i gave 2 young birds last year in return for 2 of his. He won last week with my bird so, thats the level i personally go to to thank people, its all about building a trust up with people. Long winded maybe but i just wanted to put my view across.

Wasnt Kennoways there at the fed as well as the snfc?

Is this the same person that wants a doo back after it has by-passed its loft by about 100 miles? lol i know what i,d be doing with it, and it wouldnt be bringing it home. And thats an auld yin tae.lol
-
expletive removed* havent they told you yet lol
-
Mr Clockman, please lol, lets not tar our tight fists with sappers tight fists lol. Cemetary, why would he not to have to pay if he brought their own base station??????????? Kennoways was there and we all paid( i say we, i,m not at the race) but you know what tight fists we have up here, and they paid lol Sapper, am i right in saying that you have just been promoted??, that definetly means you pay for everyone, congratulations anyway if you have. i think you would have to work for 5 minutes to pay your quid, lol
-
The wages your on Brian i thought you would have paid for the rest of us. (dizzy)

You had that experience from a training toss, we here in kennoway have a peregrine living 300 yards away high up in the quary. Everytime we let our birds out its a lottery if they get hit or not. I tend to let mine out once a day at about 6pm, as in the morning is when they are out in force, even at that they sometimes cotton on to the regular releas. I hope you get your birds back, but how many times do you take a beating like that before you say bye bye to the sport (which is no fault of the sport). The local sparrow hawks are no better either, we have 2/3 here as well.
