  3. Thanks guys, still here to help if i can.
  4. Well thats me moved house now and ready for a fresh start. the house is getting there and the 46 young birds are settling in well. They,ve not been let out yet but theres plenty of time. I,ll be using a new name as well, which is Catelae Lofts, which actually means boomerang in Latin. So after a hellish start to 2008, heres to a fresh start and looking forward to it.
  5. Welcome from Fife Scotland
  6. I personnaly would feed them before you go, maybe a little more than normal. As long as you leave enough clean water to last them they will be fine.
  7. Congratulations to Jimmy and WIFE (not misses lol). I,ve got a one year old and never had a decent nights sleep since he was born, all the best guys. Congratulations to racer as well.

  10. Hello m8, is this situation discussed at your agm? what do the members think?. I think its a good idea, if you are faced with the possibility of no racing at all. Just wondered what the guys thought of this decision
  11. When i was faced with my arson attack, i can safely say that the members on this site are second to none. The support i recieved at my lowest point of my life was nothing short of overwhelming. So i can say that there is definetly brilliant people on this site.
  12. Happy birthday lass
  13. They are the lowest of the low. I,ve contemplating super glueing mine shut. If they are that desperate they need a life, or a job to pay for their own.
  14. I,m having difficulty in reading the response, does anyone have the same problem? if so how do i go about solving it, it appears the writing is far to small to be readable. I,ve had this problem with a few other sites as well.
  15. Money hasnt dried up, dont know how they are selecting but they are still giving out. My new club is in the process and all is going well, we have heard back from the lottery and we havent been refused. Fingers crossed we will have 13 ets systems plus extra pad and cable, and also a laptop with laser printer, o and 100 rings per member.
  16. Yep Debbie, and i,ll be the millionaire lol not. The technology we have today there must be some way of doing it, and cheaply.
  17. Do you have any contact details cloudview, pm me if you do please
  18. Here here Andy. Fife federation did double up with the national to save on cost. we went to Newbury, Eastbourne and Falaise, we as a fed couldnt aford it to go alone. Some of our members dont agree with it as when your with the national you are getting dragged all over scotland. But by fed the birds are all coming to the same area, hence doubling up with The Kingdom Federation Of Racing Pigeons, would benefit Fife.
  19. Now now abbeypap, its not about watching the race unfold by computer. Its about finding out how what or why the pigeons are getting lost. I agree with you, not to get lazy, but my sugestion as i said is to gain info off the birds on race day.
  20. Jade where are you flying from and to??
  21. I,m sensing here that we would like to see common sense prevail, and have joint convoying. It still alows us to be a member of the national of our choice. If it was to get of the ground, i,m sure we would all feel secure in the fact that we are doing something to protect the sport. Its the same here in Fife, where we have 2 federations, 2 federations cannot survive from seperate convoying. I dont want to hear why it happened, as i,m learning to live with the situation. Again if our 2 feds were to share the convoying its going a long way to keeping the sport alive, and at least have a future. Let common sense prevail.. Please...
  22. Interesting views. As it may be an expensive venture, it may be an option for the club to select a number of birds to be chipped, or even at fed level. It would still give some kind of indication to whats happening to the birds. As for the battery side of it, i,m sure the technology that we have today we can combat that.
  23. Will be interesting of his findings, who knows we may be tracking our birds in the future, fingers crossed.
  24. abbeypap, does your husband get funding to carry out tests? or is it out his own pocket? i,m pretty sure peregrines are microchip and traceable, by the police. So it must be possible to do what we would love to have.
  25. lol jimmy
