  1. Thank you 883girl, means a lot.
  2. Thank you Taylors loft, appreciate that. I may just say that i was breeding peregrines and sparrow hawks to help desimate the uk bird population. I,m sure they would move on that one. What a bloody day.
  3. The police dont want to know till Thursday for some reason???? My family are fine, shaken but fine. We have been on the web all day looking for rentals in the Lochgelly area, if anyone can help.
  4. That is an idea i,ve considered, thank you.
  5. Thank you Tim. I,ve sent my wife and boy along to stay at her mum and dads to stay for all this to die down. Bloody swines. I wont be hearing from the Police till next Thursday when the guy is back of holiday, bloody fantastic eh. The clean up operation will begin on Wednesday, so it should be all cleared by the weekend. Thanx again for your support. I,m also looking at the future, and still dont know what to do.
  6. sorry pjc. Didnt realise i was doing it. my head is wasted today.
  7. Hello guys/gals, again i cant thank you all enough, you dont know what this means to me. Still waiting on the police to arrive to do further tests on the remains of my loft. To add insult to injury, i,m now being threatened by the mother of the suspect, she is planning to get the heavies in to " get my head kicked in". So it will come as no shock to you all that i am seriously looking to move home. We were in talks to do so, and as i have a wife and 8 month old son to take care of, they are my top priority. Once we move i want to start back up again, soon. I think to be realistic it,ll be next year before i fly again, but who knows. Again thank you all for your continued support.
  8. The support i am recieving is overwhelming, i cant thank you all enough. I,m waiting on the crime scene investigators from CID, to speak to me. I,ll be back soon, once again thank you all very much.
  9. My loft was in my garden. About 6 metres away from my house. The heat was that bad it shattered my living room window, bloody scarey.

  14. I,ve lost the lot mate. Thanx for the support, thanx celtic i,ll let you know what my plans are.
  15. Thanx very much mate. The police are doing an ok job at the moment, it was the fire brigade that annoyed me as they took a long time to get here. I,m trying to remain positive but as you can appreciate its hard. I dont know what my plans are at this early stage but i,ll take you up on your offer if i start again. Once again thanx.
  16. Just a note to all to say that my loft was burned to the ground at 4am this morning. I lost 22 out of 27 old birds, 8 young birds from other fanciers. And also 11 hatchlings. This was started deliberately by a spineless b*****d. I dont have any enemies, so this has come as a shock. Being the secretary of Kennoway Homing Society, i am now forced to help others through the season(which i dont mind one bit), but the hardest bit is not being able to take part myself. If anyone hears of anything can you please let me know. I,m not sugesting for one minute that the fancy is responsible, its just that someone may hear of something. Thanx.
  17. We dont want to waste time arguing or critisising, and get on with our sport. If i did have something to say to someone, it would say it to their face and not via a site on the www. Suppose some people just cant do that.
  18. Why is there so much bitterness towards people.
  19. Kennoway Homing Society held their annual young bird phone in sale at the weekend. We sold a total of 21 pairs at £25.00 per pair, to fanciers all over Britain. A huge thank you to the people who are trying our birds out this year, and hope they have some success. We still have the young bird from Jock Scott, up for auction. It currently sits at £70.00, Jock had a fantastic year last year, more noticeabley at the Federation/National combined race from Eastbourne (425 miles approx) to us. He was 1st and 2nd fed with the pair that bred this youngster up for auction, anyone interested in bidding, give me a call on 01333 350500. Good luck.
  20. Guys/ gals, all i asked was, does anyone know if the snfc website would be updated this year, as in the past. I am very saddened that the attitude in pigeon sport is so bitter. I joined the sport only three years ago, and am now the secretary of Kennoway Homing Society, which i really enjoy. However, i am being disalussioned as to the way this one time great gentleman sport is heading. I cant understand why this happens in todays life. If i have a problem or disagreement with someone, i try and sort it out in a gentlemanly way. If after that its apparent that we have a difference of opinions, i respect that, and move on. Life is too short to be bitter and upset, lets enjoy the lives we have been blessed with. We are only here on this planet for a short time, dont waste it, enjoy it. lets put some happiness back into the sport before we lose it for good.
  21. Thank you ib.
  22. Everyone is entitled to their opinion Delboy, like you i thought it was a good way of keeping up to speed with the way our national was going. Just hope that the good work done in the past isnt wasted by not updating it.

    SNFC

Does anyone know if the SNFC website will be updated this year, seeing that it was Joe Murphy that done it in years gone by. Like him or loath him, i found the site to be very usefull and interesting. So on that note, it would be good to see it continuing.
  24. Sale going realy well. We have sold 9 pairs of young birds to fanciers all over the uk.
  25. Hi Bilco, i love your straight to the point attidude and feelings on this topic. Let me firstly introduce myself, I am secretary of Kennoway Homing Society, Alex Wight. We have a Peregrine falcon which lives in the old quarry here in Kennoway (300 yds from me). It is often seen hunting through our many flocks of pigeons, and what can we do? bugger all. I,ve only been in the sport 3 years and it breaks my heart seeing such an aggresive peace of hunting going on, in front of my very own eyes. I too would urge the rspb to reconsider limiting these "birds of all breeds " killers. When will they wake up and see the immense brutality that they are causing, god only knows, maybe when we only have "birds of prey" left.
