Kirkintilloch & District R.P.C disband
Delboy replied to Delboy's topic in Pigeon Politics, Rules & Regulations
You are probably correct, to an extent Roland. My remarks were maybe a wee bit agressive. Nobody knows more than me what makes a pigeon club tick. The top pigeon fanciers as well as the hobbyists are all part of every club and I have never shown any disrespect to any of my members. The problem that has arisen here is, my character and integrity are being questioned and that is just not on. I am getting the blame for the demise of the Kirkintilloch club, where in fact, I am the one that kept it alive . I have been the secretary for 11 years and in that time, I have learnt alot about pigeon fanciers in general. All the time I have been in the pigeon sport I have been a worker. I started in 1973 aged 7, working on the ringer at basketting nights, then worked up to be basket convenor, then Vice President of my federation, then secretary of one of Scotlands biggest clubs at that time, in the mean time I had joined the S.N.F.C Committee, which I have served on twice ( also being the west section convenor ) In between all this I wrote articles for the BHW as well as running a business and bringing up a small family of 4 ( my youngest being disabled ). Taking all this into account, I have been very successful at racing pigeons and this is the reason people have a go at me, but they try to use other reasons, such as the above posts, and when you know my background, you realise what the truth really is. Kirkintilloch & District R.P.C disband

Ive sat back and listened to this crap for too long now.You are a complete idiot that obviously couldnt fly a kite on a windy day. Its arseholes like you that have wasted the Kirkintilloch club, jealous of their results, jealous of their reputation, jealous of their winners. Your a LOSER and everybody that supports you are LOSERS too. Whats your name? I bet you are an ex member that couldnt compete with the big boys. Thats the bottom line here, the cranks that have a go at the Kirky club, or me, left because they couldnt compete. Everybody looking at this thread knows what I am talking about. The Kirky club disband, thats it, nothing else, but still the diddies have a go for no reason. JEALOUSY, THE RUIN OF THE PIGEON SPORT. Derek Hay -
Kirkintilloch & District R.P.C disband

Read the first post pjc, it tells you that their are a number of reasons, over several years, that have made us decide to disband the club. -
Kirkintilloch & District R.P.C disband

No, you arent getting one half of a story. You are getting a very small part of a big story .The bottom line here is, the club disband because of alot of different factors . We did not have any difficulties ie finances, disharmony amongst members, etc, etc. As I said before, the camaraderie and respect between members in this club was second to none. The way the Midland fed treated us is just par for the course for Kirkintilloch rpc . We have been treated worse by ex members wanting to see the club fail, how pathetic are these people. -

Your convoyer Colin Gray, told his cousin Andy Gray that was the Midland feds plans. Andy Gray was also refused an Open race sheet to fly in last yb race because we had went with Lanarkshire fed. -
Kirkintilloch & District R.P.C disband
Delboy posted a topic in Pigeon Politics, Rules & Regulations
It is with great regret that the members of the Kirkintilloch & District R.P.C decided to disband the club today at the A.G.M. The members of this great club, which had a marvellous history, and great camaraderie, decided to go their separate ways because for many years now, they have been the subject of many pigeon politicians. This club has been under scrutiny by so many surrounding clubs, for reasons, yet unknown. The last straw was when we heard that the Scottish Midland fed were pulling in their boundaries to get us out.We know this is illegal, but the members felt they had had enough. May I say, that everyone left in the Kirkintilloch club had a great respect for each other and the disbandment was done very amicably. Derek Hay -

food for thought S.N.F.C
Delboy replied to walterbmasson's topic in Pigeon Politics, Rules & Regulations
The vote was very close, why didnt you all stay with the SNFC and propose it for the following years AGM. I am sure the vote would have been favourable the following year, after everybody had time to think about things.Instead, you all walked out and started another National. A bit petty, to say the least. -

This was true, certain parties had serious issues with the S.H.U and used the E.T.S argument to get more people on their side. -
Another 3 day delivery. Not too good in my opinion. All the apologies and excuses again, same old ,same old.

THROUGH NO FAULT OF OUR OWN, IT WAS A TRAFFIC JAM AND THE ACTIONS OF A FEW INCONSIDERATE FANCERS THAT CREATED THE DELAY. Three piggin days I waited for you ya clown, some piggin traffic jam. My last post was of constructive criticism and I thought very helpful. The fact of the matter, ladies and gentlemen, this thread has run its course and we realise that this is free publicity for this company.Have you noticed who is keeping the thread alive.

You have all missed the crucial point here.Digestion of feeding has to be right. When birds are fed small amounts regularly, there is less stress on their digestive systems. When you feed once a day, the birds will eat their quota for a full day, which is not good , because they are sitting with a full crop. This takes its toll on its digestive system. When breeding, birds should be fed as many times as possible, because they feed their young every time you feed them. When racing, twice a day leading up to 4 or 5 times as the distance increases. It is alright to feed once a day if you are feeding enough to last them more than 24 hours.( what I mean is that there is food in front of them at all times )

As I said at the very start of this thread, the pigeon courier services available must work together.Pigeon Tracker has shown, at this time, they cannot cope with the demands of the pigeon fancy, in Scotland , anyway. I see a quick solution to their problem. They should tie up with other courier companies and share the fees. For example, The S.P.D.S only collect/deliver pigeons in Scotland and they charge in the region of £10. Now , if Pigeon Tracker arranged with them to meet at Gretna, they could exchange pigeons going north and south of the border. This makes good business sense, as they both save time and gain more custom. S.P.D.S get all the £10s going into Scotland including all the English, Welsh And Irish birds they wouldnt have got before. Pigeon Tracker get all the Scottish birds collected and delivered for them as well as getting , say, £20 per pigeon into England/Wales. Problem solved and everyone is happy, including , most importantly, the customer.
