  4. Almondvalley fed had a total disaster yesterday. Most havent a bird home yet, flying from Northallerton 130-140 miles. Liberated at 12 noon , the winner was timed almost after 4 hours. I was told that this was their worst race ever..I think Jim Hannah is doing the right thing although the yb National will suffer.
  5. I ll take a tenner on Tow law
  6. Had an old fella phone me the other day, Bill Joyce from Essex was his name.I asked if he was interested in any birds in sale and he said no thanks, that he had too many birds as it was. I thought, oh well, just have a blether with this auld fella. He stated at the end of our conversation that he would like to donate a couple of quid.I said , that would be very much appreciated, but he didnt have to bother as he was a pensioner. The following day a letter appeared through the door and as I opened it I was stunned to see he had sent £500. What a great start to our sale and what a cracking gesture from Bill Joyce. Thanks to everyone for their support, Derek Hay
  7. Lot 29 is fantastic and I cant thank you enough m8 for this yb.Im sure it will bring in a right few quid. Cheers, Derek

  10. Hi folks, Log on to elimar.com and view the extra special yb sale in aid of Daldorch House Residential School for autistic children. I am sure you will agree, this is a marvellous draft of ybs for sale . This is a great chance to improve your stock and all proceeds will go to funding a new sensory room for these special children. Thank you. Yours In Sport, Derek Hay
  11. I agree to an extent but putting a pigeon in a basket and taking it 100s of miles away and releasing it for it to find its way home again is not natural either. We are contradicting ourselves by saying everything should be natural when in fact nature did not intend us to race pigeons. I think if you try and keep a balance as much as you can ie give the pigeons as much liberty as possible, let them go through their natural nesting cycle and give them plenty of peace you will have harmony in your loft.
  12. Baird & Watson chryston??????? I dont know but I thought they were Glenmavis?????? :-/
  13. You bet .Racing has been fantastic and we want the best for our ybs. Dont think anyone will send to Midland fed Open from our club, but you never know.
