Ive heard alot of people dont like reds etc, these posts have just emphasised how colour means f...all in pigeon racing and Ive had plenty of decent reds , mealies, pieds in my time racing.

I agree with you m8, pigeon fanciers are there own worst enemy.We never stick together or solve things as a union, its always left to individuals to do everybodys dirty work for them.This goes for every part of the pigeon sport from running clubs to nationals and now dealing with bop, there are always the majority who sit back and do f...all. Hats off to the workers in our sport

Very bad news Alan, I hope they work in.I was at Carnwath on Tuesday and my doos came all day.I had 9 short from 52 that night but 5 came back yesterday so 4 short now.I noticed a few handicapped pigeons kicking about where I tossed them, hope they dont get hit by bop

What puzzles me is why we still dont know what happened .This is what pisses everyone off, instead of all pulling the same way and getting answers, we still have the ``them and us '' attitude.I think the national racing in the last few years has been very hard in fact you could say there has only been a few decent races, WHY, no one knows and everyone just seems to accept it.WHY, because they are used to getting bad races.ps. Frank, you have absolutely nothing to apologise for.

A woman was in a coma - she had been in it for months. Nurses were in her room giving her a bed bath. Ive never sent a pigeon to a 500 ml race that is not in super condition and health. Most are bred for the job in my loft so it is up to them to prove themselves when they are sent, whether or not they have scored at club/fed level beforehand. Ive had many, many pigeons not ever in the clock until they go to the distance races and you send your birds to these races because there is always a wee gem comes through that you didnt expect.

Strange race that looks brilliant on paper but no great back up after the first batch.A wee bit like Messac but not nearly as bad.

Some got good returns and some didnt Chris but alot never got a feather. I personally had poor returns 2/6 ( mind ye I wasnt expecting 2 of them )

Your right Derek. They ve either got it or they havent, simple as that and how do you find out if they have it.RACE THE FKERS. ( unless they come from proven stock )Everything in the pigeon sport contradicts itself so therefore, I am of the opinion, if they are right, send them. I would rather have 6 decent pigeons in the loft than 50 untried and unknown quantities.

Ill second that Jim. The only thing about dropping Ypres is it has been very successful but at the same time, this race should maybe be organised and run by federations/ combines.Let the national run its own channel races,as I feel it has lost its identity a wee bit with all this duplication and other so called nationals taking away some of the birdage. Back to basics, back to what we once were.ps. If you win money in the SNFC you can use it for future races ie. If I win £200 in Marlborough, I dont need money for the next race
