I agree with you Jamie on the averages etc but I dont believe their should be an overall average in the SNFC.It is always won in the better locations, so sectional/regional averages are fine imo. Also, I dont mind the Ypres and Tours race the same weekend, the birds are very seldom timed on the same day and also the advantages of training all your candidates for both races at once saves a few quid on fuel.

Ive not been going to the longest race for that long but I wouldnt miss it now, if I can help it.I think I was 5th sect, 30th open in my second attempt at it.This race is usually a good race but it is a different type of bird that does well in it.I timed 3 of my 4 entries a couple of years ago on the result, 628 miles..Also, 2 out of 2 in result another year. I also was 11th Open from Tours 628 miles when the pigeon was away for its second race that year, the 1st race being Gretna, 77 miles. ps.She also was my pooler The SNFC longest race has ALWAYS to stay in the race calendar, as it is the ultimate test for our pigeons.

If the weather disny change then you obviously put the race programme back.

Will their be clock checking facilities for every region?
