Aye,your correct Andy, the weather is very unpredictable and makes controlling very difficult. I would say though, all race controllers should be singing off the same hymn sheet and decide on what day suits for racing, instead of all trying different things.

Weather looks bad Saturday n Sunday, doubt it has to be a Friday race. What do you think ?

Yes Brian, its horrendous and I have been saying for years that the problem had to be promptly addressed. I do now believe the game is finished, not because of BOP but because of the yellow streak running through the 99% of fanciers. Believe me, we could be back to the good old days of breeding 18 ybs but instead we choose to feed BOP year in year out, growing their family for them. We are not pigeon fanciers, we are hawk feeders.

Sad news about the Solway disaster. Just like any other fed, there are only a few trying to sort the problem the pigeon sport has at the moment. This is even sadder than the losses.

Fantastic race ,doos piled in and 98% returns. Timed at 10.46 and had 5 in by 10.50. Birds were spooked and most flew a while on return but quite happy.

Enjoyed watching these birds fall in tonight. Jelle Jellema 2 on the night at 690 miles and N.de Fouw timing at 712 miles. Is there anything better in pigeon racing? Too many folk into budgie racing nowadays, lets get back to the real stuff.

Its a pity EVERY FED ( in Scotland ) didn't put their heads together and liberate on the same day. This one up-manship is detrimental to the pigeon sport. Feds going on different days trying to outwit each other and wishing the worst on each other is pathetic imo and will be the ruin of the sport in no time.

Andy, I sent 7 to Guernsey and got my 5th doo this morning ripped on both sides. Thats 4 of the 5 that managed home from this race all hawked. The game is f ked m8 and coconuts sit back and watch it.

I bet ye a few potential winners have been nabbed coming along there into Lanarkshire.
