As of the 15th May the restrictions relating to Avian Influenza and Channel racing are lifted. Probably one of very few races with good returns on Friday, nuff said for me.

We used to fly from Berwick which was the same distance but got hammered with percy every time. Wooler is the obvious option imo.

Thats what this guy was saying Andy, he said the birds automatically head up the valley right into Scotland. Perfect, what more do we want?

I was speaking to a top Up North Combine fancier and he says that Wooler would be the perfect race point for Scottish west section fanciers. Has anybody flown Wooler over this side of the country? Its about 87 miles to me and seems a good point before going over the 100 mile mark. Whats your thoughts ?

Yes, great news. I realise now the SNFC dont need a meeting as they just revert back to the original programme, only starting a week later.

Time for an emergency SNFC meeting I think.

Distance Flying club m8 and I know big Stuart Maskame, Davie McDougall etc wouldnt hesitate.

The vote to drop the inland nationals was narrowly beaten at the last AGM. Lets get it sorted for next year. I'd have 4 channel races, ROYE, REIMS, TOURS and YPRES { YEARLING ONLY } MAIDSTONE ybs.
