We have used the bull box for the last 4 years our 2 main breeding cocks go on it with 4 hens and the eggs floated under feeders. The bull box we have was a gift from John Hunter from Aberdeen went up to see john and he had this bollbox on his dining table and his wife told him to get rid so i got lucky that day as the back seat was down before he changed his mind and on my way to Stirling. We think if you have good cocks they are good for getting some half-brothers\sisters, and find the best to start a family.

Had a son of Debrander years ago and bred winners right away alot were sort of mossac. Not 100% but think Andy Millar had some aswell. They cross with janssens well.

Had a red black splash hen 4 years ago we were thinking it was a cock but would not pair so put it back in the young bird section with 2 spare cocks paired up and laid eggs within 2 weeks. must say that is the first we had seen a hen with black marks as we always thought they were cocks.

Used it for a couple of years now best around and i dip the heid under aswell. My brothers thinks its a bit much but does not afect the doos. I,ll be doing them before pairing then before racing never a problem with lice.

Got the bug in 1977 was coming home when notice A Robertson,s loft had blowen down with the wind so dad and Archie and myself spent most of the night trying to save some of the birds. After that my dad built a loft and we started to race 1978 youngsters.

Carlo still has them and crossed with Van Bruane. We have them from Carlo and they have bred winners every year since 2002 when we got the first of them. They are now crossed in with our Jan Aardens and Janssens both and winners coming from both crosses.
