Went to LPW sale in the Merry England bar on the Friday and they were very poor. One jan arden hen was in the BHW and looked the part, but when our Colin took it out the pen it was covered in quill lice. Not impressed at all.

Just Colin and me going this year Martin and we are staying at the Walford about 200yds fron the side entrance.

In the North West Fed i think it has to be Tam Blair (stirling) and being in the same club as Tam thats who we aim at every year. This year in the Fed S Robertson won old bird Ave. T Blair won Y\B and combine Ave. And we won most Points. There are also many more in the fed who could win as there is top class doo men. If put on the spot though Tam Blair would get my vote as Tam is as good as they come.

We have found that our Janssen family cross with all our other birds. Don,t no if it,s with them being very inbred. They have bred winners with jan arden, busscharet, but the best is the van bruane from the Queens loft. They are breding winners every year.

In 2003 we had a brother\sister pairing not threw choice as they would not pair to the ones we had picked for them. The cock was our good Houben and already a winner of 3x1st and over £1500. The hen had won 1x1st as youngster. We took 4 youngsters from them we raced 2 and kept 2 for stock. The 2 that raced 1 was 2nd Open C.S. 3 Bird club winning over £600. He also bred a hen in 2004 that went on to win 1st sec, D 16th Open SNFC Newbury.His nestmate went down in the 3rd y\b race. The 2 we kept for stock were flying out birds and won got taken at the loft with the Sparrowhen. The other 1 bred our top stock hen MAGIC dam\g\dam of many winners for us and some friends of ours including 1st sec G for J Hunter Aberdeen. Sorry for going on abit but for these birds pairing together we would not have the best birds we have had. What i will say is we have had some good and some bad results with brother\sister pairings.
