  10. The above sale realised the sum of £3,125 an increase of £20 from the 2018 sale, the raffle generated £200. For each of the following seven young bird races: Ridsdale, Ridsdale, Whitley Bay, Sedgefield, Wetherby, Wakefield, Newark £110 – will be paid out to each the Breeder and the Buyer. Each pigeon will only be eligible to be awarded one prize, irrespective of their position(s) in the subsequent races. Many thanks to all who supported the Federation by donating/purchasing the young birds. Grateful thanks to those members of the Management Committee who assisted with the sale and also the following Federation Members: S. Blackhurst, D. Findlay, S. Girdwood, J. Haig and G. Stewart who set up the pens, made up the boxes, sold the raffle tickets and cleaned up the premises after the sale. A. Young – President R. Graham – Secretary

  13. The Federation Breeder Buyer will take place in the Danderhall Miners Club, Edmonstone Road, Danderhall on Sunday 14th April. Viewing 12:30pm for 1pm kick off. Prizes will be paid out equally over the first 7 young bird races.   16. Proposed at AGM by Edinburgh Premier club. I can only assume it’s due to the poor/iffy races from Tow Law with youngsters over the past couple of seasons, also Ripon no longer on race programme either as it’s been iffy too.

  20. For me it would be Gold Cup 540-550 miles into Central belt usual date, then a yearling only race from Ypres mid July then a 600 mile race 3rd week in July. Stick to this to build the teams of long distance birds back up. Inland Races can be taken care of by the Federations by splitting East & West of the country for joint convoying, combine/Amal etc. It’s already being talked about for this coming season. Maybe the National AGM needs to be sooner than the end of January as some of the Federations will decide what they’re doing next month...
