i would never spend more than £30 £40 on any bird, any one who does is a great believer!

there are people who either keep the bird or dont know who to contact, like my self, i am not a member of a club, so it takes a while to find details of owner, some birds aren't rung therefor being untracable. some feed the bird and just realese the bird next day

thats not bad to be honest.

its defo only one bird, they have nested there for three years and theres always been a pair, they nest in januery and rear 2 or 3 rounds. ive had the pigeons on my hand feeding them, but i wont let them in the loft. im sure they would have come in if i allowed it. this year its just 1 bird, the nest is empty most of the day. thats my concern. its tempting to take the eggs, but as mentioned before, its nature.

theres a wood pigeon nesting in the tree in the garden, my concern is that theres only one adult tending the eggs. will he or she be able to rear the young alone? i feed it every day and it seems fine. will the young be ok?

did you let them out before they could fly?

my whites done that, 7 days they stayed up there. 2 were never seen again. its very frustrating and i felt like giving up. they did come back in the end
