i had my youngsters out lastnight, they cant fly well yet and a cat managed to get hold of one of the birds. i did get the bird back after a few seconds, but there is a bit of damage to the wing, and also a puncture wound under the left wing. the bird is unable to put is wing down. its eating well ect, but im not sure if its fair for it to be alive if its in pain. any ideas?

i have a pair of old birds i recently broke into the loft, they are rearing a pair of young just now. i let them out every day but they only fly around for a few minutes then sit on the roof. any ideas how to sort this? i do tosses with them and they are fast at getting home.

i checked her eggs last night and they are full. shes stock and doesnt race. shes an 08 hen, im sure she has reared before now. she should be fine with one youngster.

i will let her rear one egg and see how she is. once the youngster has left the nest i will pair her up. thanks guys :)

she has came from another loft. she wont be racing for me. does this make a difference? would a cock pair to her even if shes on eggs?

i got her a couple of weeks ago, she could have been paired then or one of the cocks have had her. i have never seen it happen so should i leave her or remove the eggs?

my cat has the teretory to him self, and he owns my dog! but like i said, he wont o near my birds. he sits there when their out no problem. cat or dog is your answer. eletric fence is something im not sure about. seems a bit much for me.
