Our club has held race nights on a few occasions and they have been very successful, but this is mainly due to the support of the members of the bowling club which is our HQ. Its a good way to raise some funds at the same time Stuart.

I have a yb, handed in to me by a member of the public, who had tel the owner and was told that the bird was no use to him and he was an oap and couldnt afford £40 to have it returned. This wee bird had a broken leg its feet were burned on the underside like it had landed on a hot cooker or something, but its now well on the road to recovery. ,ll be phoning the owner next week to ask if he wants it and if not I,ll keep it, but he will be getting reported to his union for his stance with the young lady who originally reported the bird. Funny how all these fanciers suddenly become oap,s with no money when asked to repatriate a bird but can manage to have ETS at a cost of £500-£600

I would rather than see the ring leaders allowed back,and thats not just me there are 40 odd of us who were left when they stole everything and went to the open arms of the RPRA and thats where they should stay. We are accepting some of them back but the leaders will never be allowed the chance to steal from us again.

Why should we change to accomodate some who cant re-join the SHU? Remember the NFC doesnt have an any union rule so why should the SNFC? And there are more Unions in England for them to accomodate and they say they are the only National club open to the whole of GB but only if you join the RPRA.

Aye Mr Murphy has forgotten about the East of Scotland Federation who at present go with Pentland Hills and also Traprain club, does he also advocate forgetting about all the upheaval caused by the people who tried ever so hard to destroy the SHU a few years back and welcome them back with open arms.Well my Federation most certainly wont be welcoming these people back, they took everything we had and we had to start from scratch and they aint getting a chance to do it again.

Could be a first here lads, with a ballot to decide the race control team, so many people willing to put themselves in the running. What a dilemma to have,but would bet we wont have so many when the chips are down.

Might even come down to some being re-measured if its that close.
