they have probably joined up with the 6 whites i have lost over the last few weeks and started there own commune, as mine all wear a ring with my phone number on i find it strange that ive received no phone calls, its not as though there are any dishonest people out there!!! kev
  6. if you are like me and dont have electric in the loft but at this time of year need to feed up etc after work when its dark, try these battery lights from wilkinsons http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/invt/0255432 ive put 3 up in a 3 mtr x 2 mtr loft and they produce the required light to do the job without disturbing the birds kev

  8. Contact me if this bird is yours, its flying in and out of my place Kev
  9. I think its taken up residence in the space that the missing 5 of mine used to take up before they went flyabout during last few weeks it now flys out with the locals as though its never been anywhere else, yet its ironic that i have 10 stock birds that have been here since March which would fly off without a second glace over their wings if given half a chance kev
  10. the request from the owner was to release the bird away from my loft, i did just that at 1.20pm 30 miles away .. 2 hours later it was found eating another meal and listening to the radio in the loft again kev

  22. Whats the best way of getting rid of flies from the loft, i seem to get hundreds of the little buggers, i use a flynet over the door, fly papers inside the entrance... but could do to have something inside the main loft area the loft is washed out each week so its not the amount of poop on the floor thats the attraction kev
  23. can anyone read the terms and conditions page, the print is tiny on my screen http://www.amdeliveries.com/page001.html
  24. thanks to all for the info kev
  25. this is when a breeding diary comes in handy, you can always refer to the exact date when the eggs were laid the difference in days between due hatching dates will add even more problems if you swap eggs with the birds and probably result in the loss of all (A) I would take one egg away from the hen making sure the remaining one is fertile, and replace it with a pot egg (prevents the hen from sitting to tight on the one youngster) ( leave the one egg under the pair and add a pot egg to replace the broken egg dont forget to put the pot eggs in your pocket and warm them up before putting them along side the real eggs 50% hatching will be better than risking 0% kev
