there not too late not at all u shouldn't have to many problems look at it another way while most had young ones out in freezing cold weather yours will be coming out when there a small bit of heat in the weather

with yearlings mate be careful as u can jig them up too much what i do is i don't show the hens for the first few tosses but they are always there when they come back and then when racing season comes around it all depends on how i feel the cocks are doing sometimes i mightn't show the hens till the second or third race i introduce them when i feel they need a kick in the back side remember even though u are training every time u show the hens its another little bit of motivation lost and its a long season so what i try to do is go as long as possible without showing the hens some fanicers don't show the hens at all the most important thing is that they are there when they come back many different ways ideas here we will have u thinking now ;D ;D ;D

well it will all depend on space and your set up but if u are a new starer id say to start small mate i would say in most cases today to compete at the real top level fanicers seem to stick to the one distance to compete at the top level takes real dedication so my advice is stick to one mate what would say about distance racing u will need patince as in most cases distance birds dont come into there best till a later in life i.e 4 5 6 years old

can work but if there geting attacked that fast id say hes within 5 to 10 mile of loft even colser :-/

if it a sparrow hawk in most cases it will go quiet for a few weeks cause she sits on the nest and goes through a full body moult and the cock sparrow hawk fills mostly fiches black birds birds of this size but I'm afraid when hen comes off the nest again its worse as she has to feed her self and her young its nearly worse when a hen sparrow hawk targets a particular area rember the birds of prey in most cases have there young later than all the rest of the wild birds so there plenty in the sky when they are training there youngsters to kill just some info

i think les may be right on this one on the reading up that i have done and i know a good few ppl in the know some eagle owls will kill falcons and hawks living in there area and some become good at it but mostlly there main reason for killing them is when other food sources have run out and that could take a while as they live on rats squriels but one of there main food scores is rabbits and i think it will take a while before they run out ;D i would ask pll again too ook at this thread might be something of intrest ;)http://forum.pigeonbasics.com/m-1236365044/s-36/highlight-magpie
