    question

In agreement Jimmy expect the *expletive removed* showing bit, chiefly because the supply might be greater than the demand, one of the reasons for one thimble one race rubber rule, now is this capable of being done with E.T.S ? if it is then arent R.P.R.A breaking what is still an existing rule
  7. The study of pigeons eyes to me is an absolutely fascinating one, of the many traits that I believe are present in choosing and determining a good racing/breeding pigeon, eye sign as such is a myth, but the quality of eyes in doing what I have stated is very real, likewise reading/studying of eyes for many other reasons,health/form/ailmentss/past and presents with the latter part being an absolute fact, ask any optician what he can observe, besides quality of sight,I have read most if not all of whats being printed by the likes of Fleming,Jack Barkel,Pete Pobor and most other exponents plus many statements, works by professionals/non fanciers, and using from these what I consider being most important to myself and birds, this being done by the the most factual system I know, namely trial and error,i am now quite pleased with what I have learned, but never at any time was it based on the personality of any individulal person, mine was always based rather on the story than the storyteller,Fact or ficton, The Study of Eyes, its there for any fancier to make up their minds regarding same, but it should be done with an open mind
  8. Andy Hello, I have only the utmost respect for the late Jim Biss as an absolute top class fancier,an would indeed take heed and respect all of his opinions. Say from Thurso to to Norfolk and London its more South Easterly direction Thurso to Penzance area is more direct North/South direction. Predominat winds in Summer months are alwaysWest/ South/West,although for last number of years like our summers they do appear to be more variable Birds of equal ability racing to Thurso from Penzance as against those going in opposite direction will do it with a quicker vel under above conditions on a regulasr basis. Its winning vel on both types of racing I base my OPINION on. Another factor which I consider important is the Sun,if present, its in eyes of North Rd bird, and vice/versa on South Rd,what are others views on this.

    question

Not saying what you say is impossible, but when you get down to hundreds of a yard, but when you can win/or lose by one hundred of yard its very unlikely.if its reading the same after this ( I think) its brought down to thousands of a yard.
  10. its actually the correct way to put it on for ease of reading

    A WASTE OF MONEY

A conservative estimate would be 90% of products offered for sale re our pigeons, provides no additional benefits for them,in most instances its just a marketing scam.maybe in some instances birds LOOK better, but definitely makes finances lighter.the neccessities can be bought off supermarket/shelfs chemists/shelfs in most cases at a fraction of price.
  12. have just P.M you.
  13. Whatb exacttly is the same type/content etc.
  14. Are birds droppings o.k now or are they still the same, what type of droppings are they.

    Family

Nice one Roland very touching, with a good deal of perceptive insight .
  16. Last time I looked Wexford was in Province of Leinster as is Dublin, with Tipperary in Province of Munster truly great hurling rivals, but definitely not next to each other, with Counties of Waterford and Kilkenny in between both, who are again fierce Hurling Rivals.
  17. Total agreement .I.B re "exertion"dropping, but in most cases it doesnt constitute the whole dropping as such or droppings as we know them, but really hope it is,as then this is not a problem
  18. Nice looking, healthy bird, why not put its details on a pedigree, charge x amount of pounds, pretty typical of to days fancier, the written word more often by total strangers is apparently more valued than their own judgement, before its suggested why dont I accept it,the distance between here and Ramsgate makes this impractical.
  19. I have met with this problem in stock birds, just told to introduce 3 spare cocks, withing minutes stock cocks had perked up no end, next day most had started the nesting cycle. Do like to keep weight off of birds most of the time, but especially before going to nest,Nature also in agreement, hence the driving process, which can fade somewhat in older birds, this being reason for potential rivals, perks them up no end.
  20. Champion Workman bred from parent birds if I recall correctly that were known as Papa Workman x Mama Workman, could you confirm Jimmy.or is my memory once again playing tricks.

    My new loft

Hogni B.O.P. in this instance meant Falcons/Sparrow Hawks, your climate is probably better than our own at the moment,I would rather have a cold spell than what we have been enduring, cold, gales, sleet, rain, frost, floods, with our summers not much better for the last few seasons.
