  1. Thanks Jack and I for one am looking forward to gleaning from your experience in pigeons,as one of my Teachers informed me long ago " A good pupil listens if he wishes to learn" I am still capable of learning,and like many more still listening.
  2. Morning is glorious here,Sun is shining, blue skies,hopefully it lasts,sadly the weather conditions are so variable,its possibile to get the four seasons weather in any one week
  3. If I remember correctly many years ago,theScotish flyers flew from Ireland,this was a good few years ago,and some years ago the French fanciers also had a liberation,not sure if they were back since,its not the easiest place to fly out of,or into .

    lovely Animals ,not too many Neopolition Mastiffs about,the other one is ,I am not even going to try spell its name,is more popular,but again very well cared for,they dont reach a good age without T.L.C.
  5. Agree with Roland,the only change would be the the longest flyer now would in all probability be shortest flyer,wonder why its never been mooted,or maybe its the "channel"
  6. I would stick to pattern you already have,and leave new youngsters out when others have come back and are picking about after flying,for a few days.

  8. Michael J This bird may have been feral for a period of time,but I can tell you its from a top class loft,with impeccable bloodlines,its a bird that made a blunder when racing,and lets hope he has many years left with David
  9. Doesnt make any diference T.W.R.M.,more important to open/close at regular times every day Another myth re dark youngster,with apparently may opting for rarly breeding,mine dont go onit till 6th of April till- 6th of June,which in my instance is a month before their first race.

Jack I have been down many roads regarding eye evaluation,most have something to offer,some more than others,depending on whom you are studying,but I do find your five circle evaluation easily the complete package of all systems I have studied and also find it very benifical in improving my knowledge of birds whilst improving breeding/performance and I would like to say thanks for printing same,for all to see,in such a basic easily defineable manner,and hopefully you will keep imparting your knowledge, once again many thanks Jack

  13. Tournier is quoted as having said, never buy a pigeon from someone unless you trust them,its more satisfying to give a decent pigeon rather than sell one,also of the opinion this sport went into rapid decline when the money merchants came on board

    Have got them myself similar lines,Jester, Nat Fideel, Belle,these similar bred youngsters work very well for me and others who have had them from me.

The Sea Eagles will only breed close to their hunting grounds,coastal areas,large lakes,Percy can and will breed in all habitat,quarries,tall buildings,even city centres,with all the sky being their hunting area,the Eagle Owl being the supreme predator is the only Natural deterrent to the current existing imbalance in B.O.P. population,this being the reason for the dogged stance by R.S.P.B. European opinion is not so dogged,seeing Eagle Owls as part of aal our heritage.

  24. The proposal to introduce E.T.S. system at I.H.U. Annual General Meeting was defeated in democratic vote,did not hear of any issue re Disability Act in this instsnce.
