Once again remove ones that are ill/look ill,if its a type of virus,not a lot you can do,it will run its course,treat water,use multu-vits,and electrolytes in water,get a blow torch,burn all surfaces,or treat well with good disenfectant.disenfect all troughs/ feeders/ drikers,disenfect or blow torch every sq inch,dont visit other lofts just yet,likewise dont have visitors to loft. How many pigeons have you got/type/loft location/isnt there a fancier about who might help you out.

Sick birds isolate,in a crate.pannier away from loft,treat all drinking water with iodine,or Hydrogen Peroxide,if/as any other bird becomes sick remove, you will have to find out what type of sicknees before you can treat it,ask your friend,

In my estimation you may have as many Nationals as you wish ie any direction ,providing the criteria is met,this being its open for membership and participation,to all members of the Country/Nation,no radius only its borders being its radius.

No matter what lines fanciers fly its an ongoing struggle to do well,and youngsters/pigeons should be tested on an ongoing basis,and be successful otherwise,their lineage isnt worth the paper its printed on,as the great Pete De Weerd is reputed to have said,"The apple never falls far from the tree"racing and testing them is the only way of truly knowing how close you are to that particular tree,or one might hold an exalted lineage for some generations,but without constant testing,well its a probability,one may have ended up with what I would term paper pigeons.again its the only way I know,if there is any that has another way please by all means let me know,hopefully I should always be capable of learning

All I.H.U. members are now measured by G.P.S. system with the device forwarded to all club Secs,and they doing each members loft location,simplicity in itself,done last winter,now all are accurately measured on same system.

Wouls imagne hawks an dracing pigeon would have two different requirements,hawks being short sharp energy bursts,racing pigeons have to feed for, endurance and speed.

Split when last youngster has been reared,fed Versa Lagge at 60% and barley at 40%,till big moult kicks in,then a good moulting mix with 10% barley,once moult completed 75% barley and Versa Lagge till two weeks before breeding,hens should be kept on v perches,to discourage egg laying,you might be looking for those eggs someday,they seldom if ever gorge themselves when fed barley.
