Not sure how it works in Scotland but i know it has to be done at AGM within the RPRA boundary as i understood thouugh it works different for the NEHU so could well be different for you
-
I keep trying to get into darkness but find with work it is difficult to get time managment right. I have done darkness but have not experienced different losses to being on natural
-
Congratulations

They are fantastic feeders as are fantails, i obtained two eggs last year, both parents were National winners and i let a pair of tumblers rear them and they did a fantastic job.
-
Well done to all concerned, to reach that amount takes a lot of effort by all involved

I had BT when i was with my ex mrs and it was great but she took it with her (computer and everything else she could) -

Are you on a 12 or 18 month contract with that Joe? -
Had it up until about two years ago when he moved to Greece his loft was behind straight behind mine. I always got on with him well till a saturday, best bet is to just ask him if he will leave them in on a race day if he wont there really you are buggered. On a brighter note i found when i had my birds motivated well enough his did not bother mine from getting back to there box and hen/cock

I am after the email address for the Belgian Union Royale Federation Colombophile Belge Thanks

well done mate keep up the good work

The region heard the story and decided the winner so it really does not matter what people think. Well done on a fantastic result
-
The region would i beleive have to have deemed it an impossible velocity as if there was a chance the bird had flown it legitimatly the appeal would have been dismissed.
-
I thought Stuart saying impossible velocity was enough of a reason for him to appeal the original result. If the velocity was considered impossible Stuart or anyone else for that matter has the right to appeal and in the case of Mr Wilcoxs pigeon it was deemed by an independent regional committee to be the true winner of the race. Surely that is plain enough

Mike have a word with Blythy1 on this site. I had four Jos Thones off him and they are crackers supplied with pedigrees at honest working mans prices.

I took on the region delegates job this year, the chap i replaced had no intrest in it and never went to the meeetings. I look forward to going to them and giving opinions on behalf of the members and myself.

In our clubs they are the ones who have the money for everything they want whilst the working amongst us have to scrimp and save. Ps i Am not knocking the people who are off with genuine problems but the ones who just want to drain every last penny from the system
-
I dont hold an office anymore. up Until 07 i was secretary of the local club but i really thought due to hassle and back biting it was not worth it, i got it the previous secretary got it and the present secretary gets it now even though all did a good job whilst in office- but always by the F***ers not prepared to do a thing. The club i was secretary of has facilities unrivalled by even the big national clubs in the UK and i guess alot of the problems stem from the responsibility the members have. My point is although i dont agree with what the RPRA do and the methods they use i am NOT prepared to spend my time for free to do the jobs they do so am not really in a position to knock them. If people dont agree with the methods the best thing for them to do is go to their region meetings and start to work up the ladder to make a difference its a slow process but much more productive than just criticising at every opportunity. If you dont want to take an office within the region or the RPRA why not just go to the meetings and have your say there??

location = single most important factor in pigeons behind health
-
Stopping Foreign rung pigeons would be detremental to the sport over here although there is a lot of Foreign fanciers who target the English market as easy picking ground to swell there bank balances there is plenty of continental lofts that can enhance our lofts and birds. I think the main thing is to check what you are buying and dont just take the bird because it has a foreign ring on it which is a culture many English seem to do ( I know of a couple of fanciers local to myself who if they get a foreign bird in or even a NEHU thats it stock loft for life as it must be better than there own) If need be do some research, Stuart obviously did with regard to the Brazilian bird he has purchased.
-
Cracking set up mate , smart and practical. well done if you can put the same planning into the birds going into the loft as the construction of it you should have a succesful return to the sport.
-
I have discovered the biggest possible weakness in my system this year. Lack of motivation - if the boss is not motivated then its impossible for the bird to be, at the minute the few old bird racers i have are sitting on open door doing as they please at a time they should be on widowhood under strict control

I dont think it matters what you pay, you can be given quality gift birds as easy as paying big money for quality birds. The NRCC Kings cup this winner was purchased from massarella as a £99 for six and ultimatly it won the biggest race there is on the North road. The NRCC Saxa Vord winner in 1998 flyying i beleive 568 miles on the day was bred from gift pigeons . Sure there is many more examples people could give i am just giving the two i can remember of the top of my head. I dont disagee sometimes it does pay to go and buy the best but certainly not in all cases

How can this happen
retired replied to DOVEScot's topic in Website News, Views & Computer Related Info
not sure if i am right in saying in the admin control panel there is a setting where the webmaster can allow guests to reply to posts and indeed start there own threads up however i have not noticed instances on here when it has been done but it is certainly possible if the webmaster has allowed it or even clicked the option off by mistake -
