Hi Ben i chucked my education away due to wanting to be in my lofts every minute of the day or in someone elses talking pigeons, my advice would be to get your education done, cut your stock back and just enjoy the birds you are a long time out of school and you can then be as serious as you want with the birds - take it from someone who re-entered education after F**king it up the first time several years previous although i am now on track to suceed in the education at the second attempt i very nearly let the birds dictate it again so hope you can learn from my mistakes.

Hi sammy Just a curious question what benefits do the silver birch twigs give (apart from the being free part) and do you treat them before use eg. spray with duramitex. I am interested as i have pulled all nest felts out today and put the birds on straw but i dont see straw as my long term nesting material so i wonder if the silver birch would go well with the lavender stalks Kind regards

I dont think it was tammy i hope not as i am using them myself although i am going to have a good scoot through all my birds tomorrow. Another site i have been on has a lot more detail on this situation with mixed opinions. I have not had problems with them in th years i have used them but i think i will be withdrawing them from the loft as a precaution

its unlikely it will be an area or not as most pigeon men buy there felts from Blackpool however i would presume it was one manufacturer so am hoping people may elaborate where these nest felts can be bought from.

Hi yes it is banned within the RPRA , you must use a thimble to clock in however you can now clock more than one rubber into a thimble

I agree Chrissy about the personal skills i have had no dealings with Stuart other than him being helpful when i posted a Moleveld pigeon for sale. I do feel though that no matter how far someone pushes you it is vital you keep composed and just humour them whether you like or not. I deal with many people at work i do not like including suppliers,staff, customers and other stake holders but i always stay polite and friendly to attempt to acheive my aims. What i say about them when i get home or am talking to the owner is a different thing though thats where i get what i want to off my chest

I would be very suprised to see a pigeon fancier appointed to the job i think it will be someone not associated with the sport again.
