To my view i have given sensible advice to both parties on how to resolve this issue and allow the forum to yet again move on from old grievances. Thread locked

Old ones are fine mate - Bezing's, STB, t3 etc etc - If you was to join a club though its vey likely someone will fix you up with one and the Alford club near you supplies all members with a Unikon ETS - So could save you a few £ either way.

I have sockets in the loft for lighting and also sockets for ETS and any other bits and peaces. Think its essential - not so much for the birds but more the fancier who works (esp this time of year)
